wyvern is def better... much better. the acceleration of that thing is much better and its faster at lower altitudes. I dont think them liking wyvern means liking this. This is much much more like a p51.
@@Siddich yeah it really isn't, they just both happen to be fast (at different attitudes) and both have a lot of ammo on their 20mms but their flight characteristics are different. The MB.5 actually bleeds even more speed than the wyvern, so it's more stringent.

I play it like a p51d30, its the closest plane in terms of performance to the mb5, in most cases the p51d30 is better but in certain cases the mb5 is better. Like when you need to neutralize an enemy in one pass (better guns and better high speed rudder control), separate from a group of enemies (since its faster) or reverse an enemy plane. P51d30 is better energy fighter for sure since it doesn't dump half its energy in half a turn like the mb5 does, if u try doing energy draining maneuvers in a mb5 like a chandell or a rope a dope u can be screwed by its maneuvering energy retention. Adam made a chart of plane's MER and the MB.5 is ded a** LAST place XD. Altho I must note, the MB.5s MER is actually decent around 700kmph because it compresses enough to not bleed too much speed.

I have the M.B. 5 yes it turns slow. How to get it to climb is different than what you would do with most planes I've seen you use. Once you take off don't climb right away, turn for side climb and stay level to build up speed then climb, don't let is drop below 280 and you'll get up there quite quickly.

Hey, on the topic of whales, could you play the Lightning F6? I really appreciate how you cover lots of british vehicles and the Lightning is one of my favorite british jets to play, though it does kind of suffer in uptiers like other early supersonics do.
This is my most regretful premium purchase. I thought it looked like a beast and believed the stat card. Stat cards do indeed lie. It flies like they accidentally added an extra decimal place to the aircraft's weight. I usually get a single kill when I take it out, but the whole time I'm flying it I'm wishing I had just rolled out the Wyvern instead. Or anything else, really. Thank you for sharing my pain.
You have to enable the oil and engine coolers in the Sim tab. And don't forget to key bind the prop pitch also. Helps a lot when trying to get the most of your aircraft.

You enable MEC by switching to full real controls, set up your keybinds, then switch back to mouse aim. The keybinds will still work even if hidden out of view. I can share my control scheme file (you can import it ingame) if anybody wants it. I have most settings set with YUIOP keys and numpad /*-+ keys.

The stats are all better than the german planes (FW190 and Bf109) but you dont have a chance against these two. They are always higher, faster and more agile so you get fucket basically in every fight.
MEC doesn't really add HP to this plane but it does make it overheat less, u can wep nearly the entire game if u prop pitch and rads to 100 percent and reduce prop pitch to 95 when ur temp turns orange. Stat card lies, this plane climbs a little worse than a p51d30, it retains its climb rate better than the d30 at higher alititudes i find.
@@OkenWS the total excess power probably completely offset by the increased drag from when u open up the radiators. also would that be an increase in hp or just an increase in thrust... because i am think its the latter.

The VB.10C-1 seems a lot better, being a whole BR lower and getting an interceptor spawn while having a similar performance.

This plane is a pure energy fighter. Ive had a decent time with it in Air SIM but when you get caught out, you get killed quick.
It's such a weapon. Climb at 290~ kmh, energy trap people with the strong flaps and just fly it like a wyvern or a jet from there.

MEC plus stealth is what is needed for the MB5, otherwise it is the Miserable Broken as the instructor breaks it quite nicely.

you should also take out the french M.B.157, it is a very nice fighter at 2.3 with 2 404 hispanos

It really SHOULD add hp, as the radiator should produce Meredith Effect, but I don’t know how well that is simulated…

Try the Soviet BI somewhen, I have it but not used it in a battle yet. A complete UFO but hardly any fuel, ammo or damage on the guns.
Fly it on like 20-35 throttle and the fuel lasts also the ammo is really just practice but it was amazing before 2 br nerfs idk anymore
