  • This video shows how to use leca for plants. Flush day is very important in plant care routine when plants are living in leca. In this video I go through my flush day routine. Flushing plants in leca is essential! I flush the post, clean the reservoirs and replace the nutrient solution.

    As I watched you dump the res into the sink I thought "I should mention that you can water soil plants with the remaining nutrient solution...", then realized... You probably don't have many plants in soil hanging around :)

    Efflorescence! A fancy word for mineral deposits. Many thanks for keeping us in the know. I didn't know the technical term but now I do. I do flush my beauties and I had seen videos that spoke about the mineral deposits but I never heard the technical term. Your videos are fun and informative. Nora, approximately how many plants do you have? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious. I still have a few plants in soil but my plan is to convert them to leca by end of summer. Keep those videos coming! 🙂

      Thank you Alfreda! I appreciate your company. Efflorescence right! I did not know it either! Now we all know. I have no idea how many plants I have because who counts!😂 I should count I guess!

    A specific super thank you for including links to your other videos when you answer comment questions. I tend to read the comments because often others have already asked what I would ask. It is SO helpful to click the answer link to move on to another of your videos of immediate interest to me. Why the rest of the universe (that I watch) isn't doing this, I'll never know! Really enjoying your channel and subscribed after this, my 3rd video watched. Looking forward to the rest.

    Hi, I am a newbie to leca and your videos have been super helpful, do you maybe have a video on how to flush leca plants in glass jars without the mesh pot? I couldn"t find one on your channel.

    • @TheLecaQueen
      @TheLecaQueen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching. I don't keep my plants in glass jars, that is why you could not find a video. I prefer the 2 pot method. I also don't like the potential for algae that glass jars have. 😊

    Sorry I'm late watching this, I fill the reservoirs of all my leca plants with aquarium water as I have 3 aquariums. My question is, as my tap water is hard and also has a PH of over 8 is this, as I assume, too hard to flush with? Is it best to do as I do now and just pour a jug full of aquarium water , which is much softer and PH 6.5 to 7.0 over the leca to flush? I love your videos.x

  • @TheAlexantube

    Apologies if you’ve already covered it in a previous video, but how often do you change the nutrient solution? Is it whenever the reservoir is evaporated? Or do you continuously top up the solution
