@TheAdventureXXL it is seemingly impossible to beat them without any special ability, don't be harsh on yourself for not being able to beat it, it's 100% fine. when I reached this stage I realized it was the most challenging ordeal ever set upon a video game, ever. me being a persistent little kid I felt the urge to beat this, so I hopped on my old ps2, booted up the game and spend roughly 3-5 hours trying to beat the 1000 roman soldiers, and it was it, I just didn't gave up until I finally managed to beat em' all and yeah, it was one of the best feelings I've felt while playing a video game, a sense of accomplishment and pride for beating such an impossible task. I felt like Hercules!
I luckily knew about it, but my brother didn't at first. Alternatively, you could glitch the whole chapter by abusing the catapult and use passive lock glitch, but that's not really fair when playing the game as intended
And you could make it even more OP if you where quick enough. If you put in a combo command just as the meter fills up you can execute it without draining any meter allowing you to use it twice in quick succesion.
WTF IUS THIS TORNADO MOVE?? literally when i was playing this game as a kid, at this point i was sitting and playing at this point for like 1 hour, fighting each and every 1000 of them...i was so pissed off when i was dying...
I know, right? That's exactly what I was trying to do at first too. Hop on boxes to be safe from attacks, then hop down, hit them several times, get a kill or two, hop back on boxes. Rinse and repeat. Then I learned about the combos and first time I beat 1000 Romans I was the happiest kid ever.
Fuck man, i remember playing this as a kid, i didn't know about that tornado power.. I somehow defeated 1000 romans and i was so happy until i saw there's 200 more, than 300... That's when i gave up :D
When I was playing this game for the first time, I didn't know about that (or any other combos) either. I only figured it out at the very last stage with 1000 Romans. Couldn't beat it otherwise xD
