- The name 'Ílú' comes from Yoruba cuban religion and means 'the earth where nothing exists without the music'. The trio with their music discovers a new jazz music experience enriched within the traditional standards of Afro-Cuban sounds and feeling.
What is most important in Ílú's sound is the rhythm and references to the musical culture of Cuba. Aniel, Machito y Juaquin draw their inspiration from the songs of their ancestors, thanks to which the celebration of their roots takes on a new, jazz form.
Enjoy ÍLÚ live concert performed in Jassmine music club in Warsaw, Poland, on December 4, 2021.
