And in preparation of that we take the ultimate Monster Movie Quiz from across the 60 plus years of monster movies. Everything from The Things to It, Gremlins to The Meg. Play along with us but don't do better than us it'll make me feel bad.

I was at a horror convention, and a writer selling his comics at a booth said something about Frankenstein. I jokingly, but not really, said that it was actually Frankenstein's monster. He pointed out that the creature considered itself the Doctor's son, not a monster. Thus making him a Frankenstein. Got me.

Akira Toriyama had a character in Dr. Slump named "Baby Gamera" that was a normal sized turtle with Gamera's powers. He then used him as a mode of transportation for Muten Roshi in Dragon Ball as he couldn't fly himself and couldn't make use of Kinto'un as his mind was not pure. Baby Gamera returned in a single episode of Dragon Ball Super just prior to the Tournament of Power... I just think it's cool trivia.
The way their avatars are shaking is giving me motion sickness, and it’s really adding to the horror immersion experience. 10/10
They're also showing the answers before Mason's answered them, which really takes away from the fun.

When was someone going to tell me that The Mummy isn't a classic Universal Monster?
Yes, that was odd.
Very weird. For those who are wondering, the Mummy is definitely a classic Universal monster (first played by Boris Karloff, shortly after the success of Frankenstein made him a star). Creature from the Black Lagoon came decades later and was much less popular and influential.
The point of the quiz wasn't just the questions it was also about naming the film from the picture

OKAY! So, when I was really young, I watched this film with giant robots in it and would rewatch it all the time to draw the robots. Years later, I would try to remember that film and never could. Now, in 2021, y'all have FOUND THAT MOVIE! Long live, Robot Jox!
I think Red Letter Media watched it for one of their "Best of the Worst" episodes, if anyone's interested. They concluded that Robot Jox was actually too good for the show.
