The viggen's FM has been nerfed to oblivion over the past years, so much so that in many cases i'd rather fly the draken because it turns better and looses less speed. (IRL in simulated dogfights, draken pilots had to pull the craziest ace combat style manouvers to stay relevant against the viggens)
Regarding heavy fuel consumption planes, I think using the program WTRTI to show the fuel consumption rate at full AB vs half vs none would be really interesting. I've been using it for years now and it's lovely. Probably excessive, but thought I'd mention it.
There is a reason why we in Sweden replaced with the Grippen. It was a good plane for it time. But it is not odd that a jet that first flew in 1967, before man had landed on the moon, have a hard time competing with more modern planes. Even with modernization. Well the Swedish tech tree often have a bit weird BR placement of stuff so we are used to all of this. ^_^
I will never understand why Gaijin didn't just add the Rb 99 to the existing JA 37D, then add the JA 37DI as the premium. The D variant was literally designed to carry them, and the DI had nothing to do with missile integration. This sets a very bad precedent for future copy/paste tech tree *and* premium vehicles going forward. Another example being the Italian F-16A getting some kind of "Late" tech tree version, then a premium F-16B or something like that.
Because it would've left a really nasty gap in BRs so players would jump from being 11.3 to 13.0, and until Gaijin finally decides to add in BRs being determined based on the loadout selected, it's the least worst option in my honest opinion.
@@Pvt_Wade Same with the F-15A, which could get the same MSIP upgrade as the C, but likely never will because then it'll essentially be the same plane in all significant aspects. 99% of the playerbase except for you are dumb then, as people get into dogfights at top tier all the time (its just not often 1 on 1, due to WT's game modes). As such, and catering to an audience of "the average player" I try to present how the plane will perform in a variety of circumstances. If you're content to skirt the edge of the battle, sometimes having zero engagements the entire match because you can't setup 1-on-1 BVR jousting with positioning 100% reliably, you're free to do so, but thats not how the vast majority of people play and it doesn't make them "dumb".
Massive L take. If you actually believe what you typed, than NOTHING about a plane matters for you except the number of fox3s it has, which is an incredibly low-iq hottake.
People don't dogfight a lot but flight performance *does* matter. Being able to accelerate quickly for more dangerous launches, being able to turn quickly to get into notches, not shitting away all your speed and becoming a sitting duck... and if you make it into late game situations, your dogfighting ability suddenly matters a lot more because it's more likely that you'll end up merging. So no - a biplane with good radar + missiles would not be good lmao, it would still be ass because its flight performance wouldn't let it do anything even with its missile kit. And flight performance does matter. Do you even know what you're doing?

@ So you are pandering giving bad information. The plane is much better than most other premiums. Its got 4 Guaranteed kills with 14.0 missiles. Need anyone say more. Btw yes getting your self into an unwinnable situation on purpose is the definition of dumb.
