    I just did one today. 1st one. 4.7 4x4.
Get an engine support bar, remove engine mount bolts. Raise engine using the support bar. Remove the passenger side front differential bolt, and the 2 in front. Leave the driverside in. You will have more then enough space to get the pan out. Remove passenger axle sleeve as he shows. If you unbolt the upper ball joint on the passenger side it makes it easier. Leave the engine cradle alone. That is way too much unnecessary work. The dust bracket is actually structural by design. All I used was a 3/8 ratchet with a wobble extension. Then the pan bolts. Done in a few hours at home, on jack stands. Also replaced the transmission lines today. It's much easier then it looks.

Does the jeep have a 4×4 setup? Mine is only rear wheel drive I wonder if mine will be a little easier.

Great instruction. How did you removed dust bracket(engine-transmission)?

Remove all shield bolts and use a 1/4" long extension & swivel end wrapped in electric tape to hold upright & remove all pan bolts under there. I also use a flexible wire 1/4 extension. It seems I recall the shield won't come out till oil pan is loose

@@livenfree I can unbolt, but cant pull it out. Dropping the engin bracket doesnt help, as engine lowers with the bracket. I assume you have to loosen engine mounting bolts and the somehow lift it with pry bars
