For the friend at the end having problems with kissing and such. I'm mainly just wondering 1. how long they've been friends, and 2. how well OP knows her friends history. Because that behaviour seems either narcissistic where it feels to the degree of; "You can only get my attention and love if you earn it" and no matter what you do you're never enough for them. Or maybe she's traumatized, or had a bad home life as a child, so growing up affection was only given when she did something "worth it" so for her it's engrained in her brain. I dunno, just thoughts.
