It’s at great depth. An America invented the method and they have the technology. Besides more oil in the market means less profit so new finds are not in the interest of large producers.Pakistan is far from self reliant in any field as personal interest override national issues. I think Pakistan does not need to explore the oil in Thar. It is already explored. The company was tasked to pull out the known oil reserve but India has stopped the company to not extract oil on the Pakistan side to save oil for use by India. Pakistan is still waiting and has not taken up the case to an international court. The exact position can only be explained by the concerned Minister of Petroleum of Pakistan. No journalist asks this question and no Parliamentarian is interested to know the reality.
