I’m not being biased or anything here, but there is definitely a chemistry upheld with natural talent between Slash and Izzy. I’ve been covering GNR songs as a fanboy in my room since I was 13, never heard the isolated guitars until 13 years later. Absolutely insane to think of how much more complex and well-mixed the studio tracks sound compared to my simple understanding having never bothered to learn the subtle fills, harmonics, etc. I’ve heard people say that their playing style is sloppy which gives it the “grit” tone, though I’m not too sure about that comment. Anyway, I’ll end my rambling

Nah guitar parts have more punch when played with more precision, AC/DC is the prime example of that who sound heavy even though they play with comparatively clean guitars
