Quick update after a few more days of use. The surface dock was working great initially, but is not giving me some real problems plugging into my displays. I removed it from the description and would not recommend buying it until we get some more firmware updates for the entire lineup of docks.
I've been using a surface dock 2 for over a year now with very limited issues. I daily a surface studio laptop so maybe that's the difference. My Surface Pro 11 will be delivered next week. I wonder how it will cooperate with the surface dock?
I got my surface pro. I love it! I use it to play some light games and host Foudnry VTT for D&D games. I love that I can do anything from reading, to media, to coding. I love the color offers (I got the sapphire) and the fact that this is sooo light.
I got the same model of Surface Pro and have been loving it so far, even going as far as using it over my 16-inch MacBook Pro since getting it a week ago.
Would love to hear why! Have 3 old iPads in a house of 8 and personally use a Mac Mini but PCs for work… have 2 Yogas also for homeschooling. Trying to decide if PC / Arm is the way to go and specifically the Surface. Can it connect to 3 monitors? I’m either getting 2 Mac Airs, and 2 iPads, or 2 Arm PC Laptops and 2 Galaxy Tabs. Thanks!
@@cohoonatube I generally don’t connect my laptops (or in this case, tablets) to a monitor, so I can’t answer your question regarding that. The Surface just gives me the performance and battery life that I want, but in a much more portable package than my 16-inch MacBook Pro. Most importantly, it handles running a Remote Desktop without issue, which is something that my older Surface Pro X would struggle with. Oh, and I can’t forget about play. It can run some of the games I play, such as Diablo IV, Final Fantast XIV (not that well though, and WoW, so it can be a great all round computer for me. After all, you can’t have all work and no play! I never thought I’d say this when it comes to a PC, but this might just replace my MacBook Pro as my daily use system.
Just yesterday I got a used SurfaceBook 2 for an absolute steal. I had been eyeballing them for a while but wasn't willing to spend the money that I was seeing them for in my area. I got the one I have for $50!!!! No issues whatsoever and was in great condition. The previous owner had recently upgraded to a different computer and was basically just trying to get rid of it. I honestly think he wasn't aware of what he had. He thought it was the first gen. TUrns out it was the 2nd gen with 8 gigs of RAM and a 256 gig SSD. It won't be replacing my iPad Pro anytime soon but for what I paid, I love it.
My Surface Book 2 is actually my favorite computer that I've ever owned. But the screen has developed a small crack, so I don't feel safe about travelling with it anymore. And it won't get official Win 11 support after next Fall. Just bought the Surface Pro 11 that I'm typing this on, and after a week also love it.
Yes, I've had the Surface Pro since the 4th gen. It has been a love & hate relationship with it over the years. But I did get the 11th gen with the $450.00 keyboard in blue. I love it(for now). I'm trying to decide if this is enough and I can return the M4 iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard. We'll see.
I use sketchup pro for my interior design/ architecture business. I have a desktop PC already but want something for light designing and client presentation. Does SketchUp pro run on snapdragon processors?? I’m trying to decide between the iPad Pro 13” (which has basically SketchUp Lite) or new surface pro 11. Thanks!
Thanks for the ideas! Would love to see a new Eco-System comparison from you… Surface vs. Windows Laptop & S9 / S24 vs. MacBook, iPad, and iPhone… For the first time, I’ve really disliked my iPhone and iOS in general… after messing around with my Wife’s new S24, I realized, it’s just not as (dare I say) fiddly! It’s easier and more logical to get around it… hence rethinking about my whole eco-system. I’m a software engineer, so no foreigner to DELL, HP, Lenovo Windows laptops, and our home is split. Lenovo Yogas for Homeschooling, and Mac Mini, AirPods, and Apple Watch for my personal studio. I have a 2014 iPad Air (that I’m typing this on lol). So I’m not that deep into Apple at the moment money wise… bought everything refurbished and watch given by my company. How does Surface work with Android vs. iPhone? (And I have both sizes of the MX Keys, one for work, the smaller for travel… love them!).
hey, appreciate the video thank you! wondering if you have a preferred external webcam that you recommend with the Surface Pro 11? (I also have the NetGear Nighthawk and LOVE it!
you should definitely check out the more expensive keyboard attachment. it has a bigger trackpad with “force” touch and can be used while detached from the Surface!
have one question on it. If you have applied the screen protector, does it affect the sensitivity of microsoft pen ? like the drawing function for designers
We now have the 5G LTE version of the Surface pro 11. I bought it recently and the extra $$ needed for the LTE verson just makes the entire tablet that much more feasible. Went with SD X Plus over the elite.
I recently bought an Urban Amor Gear case for my Pro 9. Definately my favorite accessory brand. I put their cases on anything they make it for. Also have one for my S24 and Surface laptop 5. Feels great and I love the rugged look.
Phone hotspot usually have very limited bandwidth, and devices might disconnect automatically from the phone hotspot when they haven’t been used for a while, if you have more than one device needs to be connected at the same time you should consider getting a separate hotspot.
Since you both use surface pro and ipad pro currently , Might I ask When taking hadwritting notes, is surface pro 11 as good as iPad pro ? Which one is your favorite currently based on your experience ?
I want a cheap cover designed like the oem keyboard. very light and without the keys, just for protecting the screen inside a bag and to support the kickstand as you showed in the beginning. then use it with my bluetooth keyboard. haven’t tried this keyboard yet but have an older version that is just horrible to type on.

This video just completely took every bit of credit from another accessory video by the channel “Best Budget Info.”😂 Literally this video contains the exact same products but posted a month later.
it has the same amount of RAM as my gaming PC that runs it fine so I imagine it should, but I'm going to stick with my gaming PC for Autodesk, gonna do everything I can to download programs and slow the surface down
2nd Comment :D. Would also love a comparison between the Lenovo Snapdragon X 2-in-1 with the Surface! Love your content… found you way back with your GH4 M43 videos I believe!
Hey, are you able to charge your surface via USB C cable using your 35W charger? I tried using another 40W charger and it's not getting charged via USB C.
Works fine for me. I've never taken the included charger out of the box. I carry a couple of 40W USB-C blocks with me, and charge everything I own off of them, including my new Surface Pro 11.
I have the Pro 8. I love the form factor. It's not my main computer and I won't pay crazy Apple prices for a nerfed MacBook in tablet form. iOS kills the expensive tablet for me. Let's get real. A tablet like the iPad or any Samsung Galaxy Tab is just a fancy but overpriced media consumption device. Had Apple offered tablet that could run MacOS then that would be a different story. Love the fact that I can use the Surface Pro as either just a tablet to stream media or as a full fledged computer for office style productivity. Does it have compromises? Absolutely, but it suites my laptop needs although a little more power for photo editing would be nice. But my my computer is a desktop so I don't need gaming laptop specifications or MacBook Pro specifications. If I went with a MacBook it would be the Pro because of the fan(s) to lower the potential for throttling on more intensive tasks and for the Mini-LED screen.
Only through third party products like Bluestacks. Microsoft has removed support for Android app support from Win 11 because it wasn't being used extensively. Google wouldn't share the Play store, and the Amazon app store is subpar.

There’s an alternative to using the eraser on the back of the pen in one note where you can just scratch a word and it will be erased.

Hi Everyday Dad. Great video. Does this come with a headphone jack?
as far as i know the surface pro doesn't come with headphone jack. the surface laptop does however come with headphone jack.
No headphone jack, which hasnt been a problem for me. I went all Bluetooth everything a few years ago. YMMV
No but you can buy a jack to usb c and cause the sp11 have 2 you can still charge/accessories
