The president fired him and made Keichi to continue to work with Noa.

Saito reminds me of this one guy I knew in high school. Can't say that he left a good impression on one girl, since he routinely tried to get with her and she refused him every single time. Like this went on for so long, she started hanging out with me and my brother because we just scared him into leaving her alone while she was at school. And then her brother came back from his deployment to Afghanistan and put the fear of God into him, which put an end to his antics for good. Don't know what happened, all I know is that her brother came home from overseas and upon hearing this found him and scared him into leaving her alone.

But things in Japan are so fine tuned that a single disruption, like talking back to someone insulting you, is enough to cause a malfunction in that system.
I think this manga shows a good example of why the protagonist is often portrayed as dense.
I mean both Yuiji and Keiichi performed services for Noa that would turn a FMC into a love interest, but they differed in their motivation:
