Hello Richard, I have downloaded AIP4Win and installed on 64 bit Wind 10 pro, but I have get some problem di OCX files. I have fix it manually. For astrometry now we have UCAC4 I see that you still use UCAC2.
Dear Dr. Mattei-- Thank you for you comments. We receive occasional reports that Win 10 has blocked access to the necessary OCX files, but you appear to have been sufficiently computer-savvy to have registered the files yourself. As you probably realize, AIP4Win is written in 32-bit VB6SP6, an IDE that is no longer actively supported by Microsoft. As I have explained in aip4win@groups.io, we lost computers that had the source code files, but were able to recreate them, remove the code that required on-line registration with Willmann-Bell's server, and release AIP4Win v2.4.10.nonreg. The VB6SP6 IDE no longer runs properly on Win 10. Although I have considered buying a Win 7 PC and recreating a Win 7 programming environment, it makes more sense to rebuild the code in VB2022, and that's what we are doing. We will then use GAIA for astrometry. Sincerely, Richard Berry
Hi, if you are talking about the installation files, they are posted in the files section of the group aip4win@groups.io (Google groups.io and then navigate to the aip4win group).
Excellent presentation. There’s so much to learn.
Is there any software to photometry for Mac?
AstroImageJ is Mac compatible!
