This video gets published mere days after I uploaded a new historical monument to the city of Chester, UK: John Ivies' fountain, located in Grosevnor Park. It's just a bit of masonry, a little fountain that's been neglected and left to weather and wear, but on it is his name, and his joke. "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again" - John Ivies No-one I was with when I came across it understood the joke, and when I went back with my wife she'd completely forgotten about the whole ordeal. But not me. I remembered. I uploaded his mastercraft of a joke to Google Maps. I gave him a five star review, I updated his page. And with hope, other people will come and see his fountain. I don't know who John Ivis was, when he lived or even where, presuming it was at least within Chester, but I feel a connection to him. Even though time has forgotten him, I will not for as long as I can, and I have immortalised him in such a way that his memory may very well outlive me. Go pay his fountain a visit if you're ever in Chester, or maybe just go and have a look at the review I posted, see the fountain for yourself. Next time I go, I'll bring something to clean the place up and give him a bit of well-deserved respect. For the sake of convenience, here's a link: maps.app.goo.gl/ZM3aTnoSQAQT3be1A
