Fun fact: Germany is known for the Reinheitsgebot, a law that dates back to the early 1500s. This law governs the purity of beer. The law has been updated throughout the centuries to include yeast (which hadn’t been discovered when the law was first created) and some other natural ingredients.
Beer in the US tastes different because they don't follow the purity rule. So, that's why German beer tastes so different and Germans say the stuff in the US is (mostly) not 'Bier' :D

I've been to Germany two times and every time I really enjoyed it. My last time visiting Germany I stayed in Berlin and I just fell in love with that city. Was planning to return this year, but I had to postpone that of course.
As for local products in our McDonald's, in The Netherlands, we have the McKroket which is amazing. It's a burger with mustard and a croquette burger. Our Burger King also has a local burger called the Freakingdel Burger. It's based on a popular snack but I haven't had it yet. I'm planning to visit a BK soon though.
Oh and about cheeseburgers... I'm allergic to milk and milk-based products so I almost never have a cheeseburger.

New Zealand does not really have seasonal foods at MacD's. The place to go for takeaway burgers is Burger Fuel which has the best burgers in the country. It's also the only takeaway chain to offer gluten-free buns, soy milk shakes (3 flavours), sweet potato chips (fries)... and there is beer in the drinks fridge behind the counter.
BF has a lot of limited edition burgers. Their Japanese- themed one for the Rugby World Cup, the Neon Blackout had chicken katsu and soba noodles on a black bun (squid ink dye) with ginger-sesame dressing.

First off: I have been on a LuftHansa flight from Philly to Frankfurt some years back and i can agree with how wonderful it is!
I was floored at how HUGE the Frankfurt airport is!
Also i'm Texan and my favorite burger EVER isn't made anymore;it was one of the spicy Carl's Jr thick burgers
I am a fan of Whataburger Patty Melts.

Oh i wish our MacDs have more special items like that! The menus here in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, barely change. In fact a lot of us agree that McDs drinks are actually the best tasting items off their entire menu! I always wanted to try the Asian ones as they al ways seem to have cool items to try.

In Canada, we have Poutine at McDonald's all year round. I like to combo that with a BLT quarter pounder. There's also the Shamrock Shake for St. Patrick's Day and the Creme Egg McFlurry at easter... The McRib occasionally shows up. I am trying to remember if there are more but I don't know. OH! I also just remembered that one year there was a Red Velvet McFlurry for Canada Day.

When you talked about your experience with Germany - and ours with Japan - that hit close to home! In my mind Japan really remains this place where I feel completely safe, and where I never had a bad experience. Or... maybe if I tried, I'd think of some (like the Osakan grandmas who very openly disapproved of my partner's beard, hahaha) , but the good ones always weigh them out!
I moved from Prague to Edinburgh ten years ago and the people here really made me fall in love with this city straight away. I find Edinburghers halfway between Czechs and Japan's citizens, polite and generally nice but not afraid of expressing their opinion when needed (not about beards tho .DD).

We get Shamrock(Mint flavored) shakes around St. Patricks day and they used to do Eggnog shakes during the holidays. There were summer slushie/smoothie drinks this year but I never tried any of them. Right now there is pumpkin spice stuff everywhere. Drinks, sweets, pastries, cereal, and I've even seen savory snacks that are pumpkin spice.

As for what our local McDonalds are like, I live in Texas, and our McDonalds has cut down the menu ever since the pandemic started flaring up in the US in March. Though it really only got bad in Texas in June, March through May it was mostly New York, Boston, Detroit, and New Orleans that were getting wrecked. But they completely got rid of the salads for example (which were awesome) and they don't do all-day breakfast any more. Which is sad because I used to love getting the chicken biscuits and hash browns for lunch or dinner.

I don't like the mcrib itself but when it's in season I add it to a cheeseburger with white cheese, pickle & slivered onions. That's a good burger. Have you ever tried their steak bagels? The steak is so yummy but I'm not a bagel person. Try this, the steak bagel minus bagel substitute regular bun add the cream cheese. It already comes with grilled onions. 🙂

I think I'd enjoy the drink. I really like grape soda so it would be nice to try the soda. The fries also seemed tasty. In the USA, there's the shamrock shake that comes out for St.Patricks day. People go nuts over it. I had it once and it was okay. It's also not really a cheeseburger, but I love the shroom burger from shake shack. But the closest one to me is in a mall and covid is still pretty serious where I am.

In Singapore, we have this "Prosperity Burger" during the Lunar New Year period. Customers have a choice of chicken or beef patty, single or double patties, slice onions, laced with black pepper sauce. Side dishes may vary; curly fries, limited period flavour pie and soft serve icecream.
We also have this "Samurai Burger" which is usually randomly released with no fixed period. Same with a choice of chicken or beef patty, laced with teriyaki sauce. Also side dishes may vary; limited period flavour pie and soft serve icecream.
Then we also had "nasi lemak burger", "Kiasu burger" which will reappear once in a blue moon. And oh, we have this McSpicy chicken burger. Its very good but spicy, and its a fixed item on the menu though.

We get pumpkin spice in the fall, peppermint near Christmas, and mint for Saint Patrick's day. There are also some limited regional special items like lobster rolls in Main. There are some special items that comes around once in a while, I cant tell you when as I don't follow them. Like the McRib.Mostly it is low quality.

I'd love to one day visit Japan. As I require a wheelchair to get around though, I worry I wouldn't be able to experience much. As far as the McD's food, the final burger without seeds on the bun looks best. It seems similar to the McMuffin, though with a bun instead of muffin. The meat looks different than what I'd expect to see here in the States though.

Here in Belgium we don't have many seasonal burgers, its just mostly a limited burger called Maestro burgers, they are a bit bigger with slightly better products (bun, burger, good bacon, better cheese) but it's not something very amazing to be honest. We don’t really have seasonal food items at McDonald’s in the US. But we do have a couple beverages....shamrock shakes in March for St. Patrick’s Day. Chocolate mint hot chocolate around Christmas. Oh! And we sometimes have pumpkin pies through the fall and winter and coconut creme pies around Easter/spring. But we never have seasonal sandwiches...and have never had any other fries, but the original.
I personally do not like McDonald’s food. So if I go it’s for iced tea, iced coffee or a shamrock shake. That’s pretty much it.

very nice video sir shinichi! in terms of budget friendly cheeseburger well i kinda like & a guilt pleasure food for me is the Jollibee's Yum with Cheese (that is how they called their normal cheeseburger). The McRib was kinda a super-uber-duper-rare seasonal item here in my country i think it was only introduced once (me & my cousins kinda liked it when we have it delivered some years ago) and it kinda never came back though. Lastly the McDonald locations in where i live since birth serves spaghetti either as a meal or a la carte/solo :D

One thing that makes these Japanese videos so fun is all these seasonal items and foods, as we don't really have had anything like this (until recently and it is usually candy/chocolate yearly edition flavours).

I think the bun on the last burger might be a brioche bun. I love egg on a burger, but usually an over-easy/over-medium egg instead of the McD's 'hockey puck' over-hard eggs.

Travelling 44 days (in 2 times) with backpack in Japan was the best experience for me. Ive been in like 30-ish cities, villages of that country. In my opinion - a smaller town, a nicer people. But 99%-ish was amazing. In russian Mcdonalds never saw japanese season, usually italian, greek or american. Kinda sad (.

The only seasonal offerings I can think of in the US are the Shamrock Shake (around the time of St. Patrick's Day in March) and the McRib.
