Thank you for your video. I bought some Sałatka Jarzynowa in a UK supermarket last week, as I thought it looked interesting and so I wanted to try it. It is LOVELY! So I thought I would find a recipe (in this case, yours!), but I read elsewhere that the cucumbers/gherkins, have to be the correct type. Do you have a suggestion about what I can buy in a normal UK supermarket which will be a similar product to what you use? Dill cucumbers, pickled gherkins? Or is it not too important? Thanks.
@@TrueBrit1 Look at the ingredients. Dill pickles should only have cucumbers, dill, salt, horseradish and maybe some other spices inside. If you see anything else in the ingredient list, such as vinegar, or sugar that means they are NOT traditional.
@@PolishFoodies OK thanks. We have many Polish shops in the UK, but unfortunately none near where I live. I'll take a look at my nearest supermarkets as they often sell international food brands, and Aldi and Lidl are very good for getting more unusual items such as genuine Eastern European, German, French, Italian, Spanish etc. food.

Jewish or German shops! Yes, I think the correct type of dill cucumbers make a difference.
@PolishFoodies Thanks. Can you recommend which type to use, as that's what I'm finding confusing.

Thank you for sharing all of these recipes. My Polish grandmother used to make these delicious dishes but I never asked for the recipes.

Bu bildiğin rus salatası. "Rus salatası" yazarsan bulursun
great but where is the onion and crying over this salad ???? :) and off course apples ???
I don't like an onion and apple in this salad! The only way I can have it is without them.
