    One difference between stainless and titanium (at least in my experience) is that SST is significantly more slippery especially if your fingers are wet or sweating. Titanium is much less tiring to hold securely.

    The titanium model is within 20 bucks difference but is built as if there's at least a 60 -70 dollar difference, get the titanium! best on the market at this price point!

      Hey! You’ll love it very durable pen I continue to use this as my EDC. So much that I already ran out of ink last week and inserted a blue Parker refill. Thank you for your message! Hope you enjoy yours! Cheers!

    I contacted Bastion directly.
    They clarified that they don't use different type of screws based on the material of the pen.
    It seems they used one type of screw in the past and then changed it on newer productions.

    Thank you for comparing the clips and screws! Good info to know!

      Hey no problem.. a little update .. after 2-3 months of use or so I did manage to get the clip loose and it does have the same give as the stainless version’s clip. :/
      However after tightening the screws with a torx screwdriver it held just as good as it did when it was new. If I ever custom order another one I’d ask for the clip holes to be same size as the gauge of the screws that hold it down and not any larger.

    The titanium model is more comfortable to write with.. the weight on the stainless introduces some fatigue after a while due to that weight.

      @OZUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BuffaloNickel9 the titanium model weighs exactly same weight as 21 dimes. (47.628 grams or 1.68 ounces) that’s including the parker refill inside.

    Great review!!
    I've read where others have stated that the clip moves around due to the clip's holes being too large, and you'd think Bastion would be johnny-on-the-spot and fix the problem.
    I would be curious to know, sir, since you've had the titanium for a while now, is the clip still not having any problem with moving from side to side? (I ordered one yesterday, thus I wonder...)

      Hey, thanks for the question. I thought I had responded to your question not sure what happened and the response didn’t get posted. Regardless of what happened with the app, apologies for the late response. Looks like I have owned and used the titanium pen as my EDC consistently for about couple years now. Less than a year of using it everyday the clip became lose, I tightened the screws and it was ok for another 6-8 months. Then, I tightened those screws carefully a second time but this time to the max that these screws will withstand.. (one of the screws’ torx cavity stripped during this so that is how tight I tightened them) Seeing that your post was about 9 months ago probably you also experienced a lose clip by now. I hope my response helps and maybe you won’t strip the screw cavity. Although most torx tools seem to have a standard, my observation has been that some are thinner than others. Of the 3 different torx product sets that I own I had found the most fitting one for these screws and I still ended up stripping one of the cavities.. so let that be your warning right there..
      on a good note, since that second time of tightening the screws, the clip has not been an issue. (one might agree that I may have tightened these like a mf hahahaha)
      Cheers!

    Nice three videos of these pens! Have you disassembled these? Is it possible to take all parts apart, also the bolt mechanism? Thanks!

    • @OZUSA
      @OZUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi and thx! I have not attempted to remove the bolt mechanism however if one desired to do so you’d have to remove the thumb assist. I went through couple Parker refills so far no issues. When you drop this pen on concrete even the titanium model gets scratches, clean up is easy. I use sandpaper 600 -1200 grit. The clip does get lose even on the titanium model but you can tighten the torx screws with the matching torx bit. I only had to do this one so far. When sanding keep the tip on the pen, that way they get sanded together. Cheers!

      @@OZUSA Thanks! Do you know, does the thumb assis has threads on it, or how you supposed to take it apart? And do you use any threadlock on those clip screws? Thanks!

    • @OZUSA
      @OZUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1ossi11ossi1 It looks like they have tapped them with some kinda weld at the bottom of the assist which make sense one should never need to put apart this pen design that far. The screws that hold down the clip do not have lock washers or anything of the sort but they are heavy duty so once tight they don’t get lose easily.. I carry my pen always in the right pocket of my jeans at work so clip is used and sees stresses daily.
