After following this video, my nozzle was still hitting the bed. Figured out I had to adjust the z-offset adjustment and this can only be done while you start printing. You can start any print and while it is warming up adjust the number. I had to adjust mine from -2.5 to -0.2 and it resolved the issue.

Your comment on this lackluster video saved me from pulling my hair out. The video was certainly not helpful, but your comment is exactly what I needed. It's obvious he needs to learn more about bed leveling or at least update the title of his "tutorial" videos. Many thanks!!

Oh thanks mate! Worked it out, wouldn't do it before the print weirdly, but in leveling in the settings on the left you can change it but it doesn't tell you how much compensation is on until you get to a print! Cheers again :)

Could you share the measurement of the sitck that can with? I got my machine used and for some reason since I changed nozzle I can get it to print anything closer than about 1mm off the bed. I've used .2mm feeler guage to level the bed, the z access gantry is flat. I think the new nozzle may be every so slightly smaller despite being from creality and labelled as for the CR10s Pro V2, I think it's throwing off the bl touch sensor which is struggling to compensate. I've tried adding a -1mm z offset in Cura but it refuses to slice.

After a lot of problems with the CR10SPro V2 and still having issues, I purchased an Aqulia Pro which was half the price and so far apart from the reduced print area a much better printer. No failed prints yet.

I have the CR-10 Max. Just came in today. The belts are spinning and making noises almost as if the software is expecting the bed to be larger. Meaning after the bed or nozzle bottoms out in one direction, the computer tells it to keep going, hence the belt makes an awful noise

Thanks for this. When does your nozzle hit the bed? Here’s what I’m experiencing with my brand new CR10S Pro v2:
Start up & everything seems fine.
I press Move -> Home. The nozzle ends up above the bed and the screen says 29.9. Zero drives nozzle into bed.
Manually adjust screws to zero, enter 13mm.
Ensure Z gantry is level. Set Z to zero and it’s about 5mm above bed.
    Manually adjust to zero.
    Go to Levelling.
    It begins to auto home.
The head lowers, touches sensor on bed, sensor retracts, head rises, sensor drops. Head lowers, touches sensor, sensor retracts, head rises, sensor DOES NOT drop. Head lowers and wants to drive thru bed. Hit power.
    Start over.
Try tripping sensor early to fool it. Then adjust manually to zero.
    Go to print.
Does the same thing above and before I can hit power the nozzle gouges the bed!!
I’ve tried about 100 times with no success. Ideas?

    • @braddahr
      @braddahr ปีที่แล้ว

If I can trick it to get into the levelling screen, when I run Measurement, if it works it will do a similar thing to auto home. It usually gets one correct, moves the next quadrant, the sensor doesn’t drop, BL touch flashes red.

    1) Go to leveling settings
    2) Disable Auto-leveling
    3) Do the Aux-leveling
    4) Enable Auto-leveling
    5) Do the Measuring
    Is this correct?

So my biggest problem is my z-brace is not level and there is no videos out there showing how or where to disconnect to adjust for the off z-axis brace. Unscrewing the stepper motor mounts and retightening doesn’t work either does unlocking the motors and moving one side up or down (they do not stay) as soon as you turn on the printer the adjusted side drops again. Any fixes to how to level your z-axis bar?

I have worked out how to adjust the Z height during print but this is about -1.2mm, I thought the self levelling was mean to compensate for the offset. If I’m having to do this what is the point of the BL Touch??

Just got my new CR-10s Pro V2. I have readjusted the level five times using aux, and no matter what I do, my nozzle just spews spaghetti like 1mm away from the bed. I go back to aux level, only to find it's 2 or 3 mm's from the included gap tool. I tried setting the z axis compensation to -1.50, but same laying spaghetti down from above. Nowhere near pressing nice hot filament into the bed. I'm very frustrated and ready to give up. Am I doing something wrong? I also brought my gantry to 100mm leveled. Hello I'm having an issue but I'm not sure if you can help. My issue is with the "Z-Bracket". Everytime I move Z couplings (the knobs to go up and down) they don't level.
For example, I'm using the X-axis spacer to adjust the height except the left side always falls lower than the right. While I simultaneously adjust them to be even, the left side automatically falls lower as if its evening itself out. I'm not sure if there's an issue on my end or if it's a manufacturing issue but the bracket isn't evening out no matter what I do and its quite frustrating because its my first printer and I was very excited. I still am but I'm very close to just sending it back for them to fix because it's just not working..

Thank you for making this but after repeated attempts and countless nozzle crashes the solution was a firmware update/upgrade. The BL touch behaved very differently after I installed the Tiny Machines firmware. Just finished my first 12 hour print on this and it came out flawlessly.
Also, for bed adhesion being too sticky pour a little Isopropyl Alcohol 90% around the base after it has cooled and 10mins later the print will release fairly easily.

Hey Anton. So z axis levelling was a challenge. Right side was always too high and everytime I lowered one side to level it the left side would drop too - even if I held one side while I turned the other. Saw a vid saying it's due to the weight on the left so I should tighten the bolt next to the wheel either side which I did. Now I can lower one side to match and get it even without the other side shifting. However I'm finding after every print that the z axis is out by 0.5mm to 1mm or more and I have to re-adjust it everytime (I don't move my printer around). Am also finding I need to go through the full levelling process after every print otherwise I won't get good adhesion, which is contrary to when the printer first arrived and I couldn't get the prints off the bed. Is this all normal or not? thanks

Dude, I’ve had cr-10s pro v2 for about 5 months now. It has been so unpleasant to work with. I hate the bl touch. It adds so many more problems than just having a regular s limit switch. Not to mention I’ve had to replace the entire hot end, the extruder arm, and this thing seems so shitty when it comes to leveling. Seems to not work hard the time I don’t get it.
