I believe that Larry, (other than Billy Smith), was the one true friend Elvis had around him who was there for him and supported him in every way and whom Elvis could trust had his best interest at heart and didnt want anything from him but friendship. God bless you, Larry!! ♥️

      @theapavlou3030
I understand your ambivalence about Jerry. But I do trust Lisa’s judgement and she did trust him. I also thought Jerry’s book was one of the best.
When I read about the fight the two of them had and Jerry walked all the way back to the house in L.A. and started to pack to go home. As he began to have second thoughts he saw Elvis standing quietly in his bedroom doorway, Elvis silently walked into the room and hesitantly started to take Jerry’s clothes out of the suitcase and put them back in the dresser. The two of them unpacked Jerry’s suitcase together and after that there was nothing left to say. I thought the whole story was one of the most beautiful interactions and examples of two friends making up after an argument that I had ever heard of. I still get a lump in my throat just remembering reading about it.
      It was so inspirational.
I realize it appears that Pri$$y tells Jerry to jump and Jerry asks, “how high”. On the other hand, I do believe that Jerry is willing to kiss PB’s behind if he wants to stay in Finley and Harper’s life, and by doing so, and with the grace of God, Jerry can someday tell Riley and the twins all of the good stuff about Elvis. Especially with Lisa gone, Jerry is the only one with an iota of a chance of communicating with the twins and letting them know what Elvis’s
cultural impact was and even much, much more importantly what a inherently decent man their grandfather was. Because none of the three granddaughters will ever hear that from their grandmother.
To me it seems just like one more hostage situation that PB seems to enjoy creating, using her own grandchildren as pawns. What hurts so much is that the granddaughters will never know Larry Geller, the true friend who loved their grandfather and knew him so well. PB detested Larry and would never allow that meeting to ever happen. And that is such a loss for both the granddaughters and for Larry.

@@LindaWiteline Jerry Schilling was without doubt a great friend. But his book was awful -- it was more about himself than about Elvis. Elvis was a ghost figure and Jerry also white washed and lied. Billy Smith in the Memphis Mafia book brings Elvis to life in ways that moe you to tears -- he doesn´t talk about himself but about Elvis and in the most intimate and touching way

Larry Geller is a very interesting guy! He was a close friend of Elvis! I love his recounting of his witnessing Elvis’s meeting with the Beatles! He was one of the few people who witnessed this historic event.
He describes it well and he had his mind blown seeing them together! Too bad the Colonel didn’t allow any recording or even a picture. What a moron! They even jammed on a song together! I would have like to hear what that sounded like! And I especially wanted to hear their conversation! But we can’t because of one Bad Manager! Thanks for nothing!
    So I appreciate Larry Geller!

Billy did tours of Graceland when it first was open. Jack Soden told Billy to stop telling the truth about certain things and Billy would not, so Soden got Billy barred from Graceland. Google Ron Laytner interview of Billy Smith Elvis's cousin and Marty Lacker Elvis's best man about how Elvis switched places with a man who was dying and took off August 16 24, 1977. Billy n Marty are on tape. Billy won't talk about it for fear of being sued.

@@buymiamitopalmbeachh- That entire thing was a huge mistake by Billy and Marty to make some money, that went sideways. They put together a fictional account and made up the scenario you're talking about in 1996 for a British publication. Laytner was the one who assembled it into an "interview" form and submitted it, no doubt for a payout himself.
It's worth noting that on Laytner's own TH-cam channel, there's a comment from someone complaining that he made up major parts of a story on Vietnam that this person was part of, and they don't sound happy. So take Laytner's truthfulness with a grain of salt.
Marty discussed the "switching" story with the EIN site in 2005, and specifically says it wasn't intended to be used as fact:
      ----------
      Excerpt:
"EIN: In his book "Elvis' DNA Proves He Is Alive", Bill Beeny claims (page 62) that in an article in People magazine (September 1996), you and Billy Smith finally "...admitted...that Elvis faked his death by using a donor body". What is your response to Mr Beeny's claim?
ML: Bill Beeny is a nutcase and I told him that to his face years ago. The story Billy and I wrote was FICTION and it was presented to the London newspaper it appeared in as FICTION. Fools like Beeny like to use that for their own ludicrous agenda. He's really not worth the effort talking about.
EIN: What is your view on the idea that Elvis did not die on August 16, 1977 ?
ML: Elvis died on August 16, 1977 . It was witnessed and documented and an autopsy was performed on his body by reputable doctors in Memphis . The lead Dr., Dr. Muirhead is beyond reproach and enjoys a great reputation in the medical field. The people who foster the idiocy that Elvis faked his death are idiots or con men."
      ---------------
Keep in mind also, that Billy Smith has also repeatetly gone on record that Elvis did in fact pass away at that time, and gets emotional discussing it to this day. Seriously doubt he's that good of an actor.
Reasons for Billy departing from Graceland didn't involve him telling such a story to visitors, who certainly would have mentioned him doing so - yet never have.
These rumors are not only disrespectful to Elvis and those close to him, they're now basically pointless - he would almost certainly be gone by now anyway, even if he hadn't passed 47 years ago.

@@ThamiumOneAll this is absolutely the truth. It is disrespectful to Elvis to continue these rumors. I subscribe to the Billy and Jo Smith TH-cam channel. They’ve answered many times that Elvis did not fake his death. They both get emotional sometimes when talking about Elvis’s death.

The only one Lisa Marie spoke highly of was Jerry Sheller. She had no kind words for the "Memphis Mafia."
