    I just acquired my 1951 John Deere B. My hydraulic lift does not work. I will have to look at it and see about rebuilding that part of the tractor. I live in Enoch by Cedar City, Utah, and someday would love to try going up there and checking you guys out.

      That's cool. Yeah, Enoch isn't too far. Probably 4.5 hours or so? If you're ever coming up, North, email me and if it works out it's be fun to show you our stuff. magnetojoes@gmail.com

      Yep we had an AR when I was a kid and we had hills and heavy clay and that tractor pulled 3 furrow all day long, they were(all of the 2 poppers) soo much torque but so well balanced ( some were not crazy heavy))but superb balance

    Where did the 4 wheel drive come from? Your dad was the only tractor that run the speed we plowed with 2 cylinders.

    What is the difference between a AR and a R??

    • @jonelsonster
      @jonelsonster 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They are very different. An AR is a "Regular" (sometimes called a Standard out a Wheatland) model A. So it's the same gasoline engine you find in a row crop John Deere A. The R is a diesel engine. It's the first diesel JD made actually. It's much larger than an AR... Probably nearly twice as heavy. And has around 50 HP where the AR has around 34.

    How many days does plow day last?

    • @jonelsonster
      @jonelsonster ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish it lasted days. But here we only plow for about 6 hours, or so. A few guys in our club have dairy farms and so we plow one of their fields. It'd be fun to go to a plow day that lasted a lot longer.
