So knowing your child wants ice cream he can't have, watching him try to take it by himself and having to tell him 'no' as you pull the majority of his tiny body out of the freezer section that, by the way, he managed to get in that cooler section with you standing right there, you're going to leave him alone, unattended in a store with strangers so you can step outside to take a phone call? You brought him in with you, so why can't you take him a few steps outside with you? You're going to leave him with a bunch of strangers while you're distracted on a phone call where he could topple a display over on himself, crawl into the ice cream freezer and have the door shut him in there accidentally, or have someone with ill intent harm him or take him and run. Kids are intrigued, mesmerized and stimulated by sights, sounds and colors, all of which are overwhelmingly plentiful in a store and all at his eye level. Dumb move on his mother's part just for thinking a call is more important that keeping her son by her side. She can overthink hiding him from his father, but can't overthink the child's safety and security? It isn't the responsibility of anyone else in that market to supervise her son, yet that's just what she's expecting by walking outside without him.

@@fluffydeath9252 I watched the drama be4 coming here but I just advised women on not hiding children because even with the man being nice some women still hide the children because of several insecurities which is a bit not okay.

@@HidayahRaudhan The drama makes very obvious the reasons to hide it. 1) If you think about the nature of their relationship, and his characterication when they first reunited if she revealed she had his child the first thing he would have done, would accuse her of trying to extort him out of money.
2) What is the first thing he does when he does learn? He starts trying to pursue all the legal avenues to win custody. There is no such thing as "Joint" custody in China. There is only one custodial parent. So if a mother who is not as financially well off, or can't afford the lawyer, or is not well-connected, as the father tells the father he has a child she can lose that child. That's a pretty legitimate insecurity. Especially when it is a son (Heir)

I mean not exactly in cases where the father wants nothing to do with the mother. It doesn't change just because she gets pregnant. In cases where the father wants nothing to do with the child either, it actually hurts the child too. The father knowing doesn't always mean he will give love and the child will have the opportunity to return that love.
