excellent videos since I started watching them, I have learned a lot from your excellent work, how can I find those stencils you use in your work, thanks
I love your videos and have learned so much from you. I glad I found you. Do your ever paint any Bass Poppers? I into Fly Fishing for Bass and started making my own Bass Poppers. Some expert painting of Bass Poppers would be GREAT
Hey Jen Looking good as always. The AB cleaner I use is the Medea because I get 32oz. for $12. but also heard the createx wasn't all that good a cleaner " I have never tried it so I don't know." but I clean so much between colors it is more cost effective for me. Do you think the createx is a better cleaner? I also will use the 4012 to clean every so often to make sure I don't have build up and I use the 4012 to leave in the chamber over nite so if there is any build up it should come out when I start the next day. Is the use of the 4012 an overkill when it comes to cleaning? Keep the vids coming hard for me to wait between vids.
I’ve never had any issues with the Createx. I generally purchase whatever I can get a good price on, but I am constantly flushing my chamber between colors, so I don’t know if I’m a good person to ask. I’m a bit obsessive hahaha!
OCD...I clean mine a lot also 2 of them are less then a year old the eclipse and the NEO TRN1. I love the TRN1 but also can't put the other down. I have a couple Paasche' and I do like my Talon, not a lot of difference with the Eclipse but I've had to buy a few needles for the talon. I have nerve damage in the hands from 5 neck surgeries it has kept me from carving and lead me back to AB'n. The Medea is 32oz. for a few penny's less then $12. so I buy it a few at a time. I use Restorer to clean with at times also. Your great, thanks for the replies and they do help one way or another. Let it flow.
Jekyll Productions you can I just can’t find it in larger quantities the uv clear I use comes in pints and is 55.00 a piece I guess I’m just looking for other options
KBS is about $15 cheaper but it is slower. I still use it because I don't have the required space I'd need to do a box build out as big as I'd need it (or the cash flow to invest in it lol). All that said, I do like KBS and it more than checks off the boxes in the way of clearcoat
Jekyll Productions thanks for the info, you have really helped me a lot on my lure painting Journey. I really love that you take the time to answer questions. THANK YOU 😎
Just about everything I use has a link in all the video descriptions. Feel free to click and browse the affiliate links. I always try to find the best price for y’all 🙂
I keep trying to understand what your saying. I am totally deaf and have a cochlear implant and can’t understand a lot of things in a video. The diamond coat. The saver you keep talking about to prevent the paint from going bad. I keep hearing blockoxygen But I can’t find in in kbs products. Can you you explain this to me. What is the correct name for this and how do you use it in the jar with the Saran Wrap Thanks Samuel. By the way. I got my air brush and I got the compressor like yours. It’s great. I have did my first two baby bass lures. I would love to send you a photo and see what you think about my painting scheme. Where can I send you photos
The first link is a direct one for the paint saver. Spray a 2-3 second blast and then cover with Saran Wrap and seal jar like normal. You can send those pictures to jenkravassi@jekyllbaits.com Thanks Sam!

Are the paints you use already reduced in the bottle?
No. On occasion I'll mix down the paint in a separate container but I generally use them directly from the bottle.
how are these hanger called, the 2 arms support you use to keep the bait in place when you paint
Helping hands
@@Jekyll424 thx ill look it up
What liquid do you end up
dipping in? how can we get
KBS Diamond Strength Clearcoat is what use
I see that you have several brands of paint but I would like to know which is the most recommended? the wicked, the airbrush?
My airbrush is Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. But the Badger Sotar is very good too
It cracked due to not fully heat setting all the layers as you go, painting over wet paint is what causes it most of the time.
What psi do you usually spray at ?
Base layers 35-45. Detail 8-15
How long does it take for the kbs to dry? I use uv clear but I’d like to be able to dip my bait instead of brushing it on
I thought you could dip UV. I see Marling do it on his vids. Compared with it, KBS takes a couple days to completely finish curing.
Jekyll Productions you can I just can’t find it in larger quantities the uv clear I use comes in pints and is 55.00 a piece I guess I’m just looking for other options

I am starting to paint lures and I would like you to recommend me which paints to use, airbrush, wicked or Autoair?
Wicked
ok friend but I want to buy a paint kit and do not know what? Another question that you paint as a base?
I use Testors Aztek white these days
Where do you get your lure holders at.

what is the technical specification of the varnish?
You can see specs at www.kbs-coatings.com
Well crap now I want an air brush
Do you have to dip it or can you use a brush
Larry Kelley you can brush it 🙂
Can you make a video on how to get started with air brushing and beginner tip. Paint, gun, clear coat. Thx
Sure!
