This was a good concept, just kind of mid. I think it wasn’t long enough. We didn’t get to experience the chemistry between the leads. I get why she likes him, but they don’t really show us why he likes her. None of the characters are really fleshed out except Granny Fu. I loved Granny Fu. She didn’t play about her granddaughter.
He suddenly had a sense of purpose. His life is not so routine anymore. The bathroom to bed scene helps us to understand that.
@ChantelLaventure but how do you know that? We didn’t learn anything about his life before her except him smashing a stranger and that he has a close relationship with Granny Fu (BIG UPS TO GRANNY FU🗣️).
Plus not being as bored as before doesn’t equal love. Usually when there’s a stoic male lead who warms up to one woman we have a reason. She’s a lost love, a crush from childhood, saved his life years ago, he needs her to cure an illness, or they fall in love after they move in and spend time together. But I don’t even remember seeing him smile at her casually because they didn’t really spend time together casually. Even the bed scene. There was no build up to the kiss apart from him thinking about her in the shower so him just being horny again is an easier conclusion than “he fell in love with her after 2 days”.
