I feel like the riff at 0:44 can be downpicking instead of alternate picking for more aggressiveness Regardless very good job as always keep shredding !
Paul Mick plays it down picking but Jim uses both alt and down picking so it’s really personal preference but every time I try to alt pick that I always mess up the timing so it sounds like I’m hammering on when I don’t want to and it pisses me off and my down picking isn’t quite up to single/album tempo

Ah another slipknot cover! Great job man. I feel like I owe it to you for me getting into guitar. Growing up I always played bass until and got into sports. I took about a 4 years hiatus from music until I saw your cover of duality when I was a sophomore in high school. I went straight down the rabbit hole and binge watched your channel and not a week later I had borrowed a guitar that was sitting in my friends closet and started tying to play along with you. It’s been around 2 years and I can’t thank you enough for your covers. I can’t tell you how many late nights I had staying up trying to figure out sulfur😂 anyways thank you again for your awesome content and keep it coming!

Fabulous cover dude. Your guitar sounds a little thin for a Slipknot song. I know changing string gauge for one cover is bothersome. 10/10 for your playing.
@@MrHarsandeep Tone has very little to do with string gauge, the body of the guitar, or any number of things people assume. The reason Slipknot sounds so heavy happens behind the booth. Jim plays a similar Tele with EMG's for most of his Slipknot parts (ostensibly a shitty, cheap pickup on a guitar which is not considered "metal" by anyone's standards), and his sound is massive on the records, but that is a ton of layering, panning, and mastering that's getting those results. His daily driver is only a 2x12 Orange combo, and if you heard him playing alone, in a garage somewhere, it'd sound relatively similar to the video.
@@Silverjerk That's true. Extensive layering and post processing beefs it up. Sound engineers and producers are so underrated. What they do is nothing less than magic.
Update guys. I was outside when i listened it on my headphones. Now that i am home I just gave it a listen on my studio monitors. I was wrong. Not so thin at all. Not gonna rely on those audio technica headphones anymore. :D Great cover @Anton Excellent playing as always.
Fucking awesome you should do metal guitar lessons for beginners ive been playing for about a year now i skipped all the fundamentals because I was too impatient but after fiddling around a learning a couple of songs on my own I’m really determined to relax and learn everything the right way in order to progress

I downpick it and im only 15 its really just preference but if you have the right ear it does make a big difference
