I have been a subscriber for some time and your builds have really helped through my time in Destiny. This build and guide are great. However, being 71 I think my reflexes are not what they use to be so I have been having some problems with the dungeon but I will keep trying! keep up the wonderful builds and guides.

Try Karnstein Armlets x2 restoration on final kills is so much easier than having to rely on your abilities with the combo, hope this helps.

Thanks for this. As a solo player, solo flawless is my pinnacle activity. I raid rarely with my clan, but I don't have a lot of time to schedule things with people, so dungeons are where it's at for me. I stopped playing D2 last May to take a break, and to play TotK and then BG3, and I just barely came back to the game about a week ago (ABOUT A WEEK AGO). I appreciate this guide immensely. I have this and Ghosts of the Deep to catch up on, and you're easily the most reliable and enjoyable person from whom to learn the strats. Points also for that lovely, calming music in the background. I remember trying to solo flawless Duality for weeks, which was hellish, and I think calming music would be great lol.

If anyone is struggling with the mechanics of sun bracers try the karnstien armlets. Less damage but easy restoration procs.

@@balinfoley953Sunbracers allow you to spam 5 solar grenades after a melee kill while Karnstein provides Cure x3 and Restoration x1 for 8 seconds while a finisher grants same Cure but Restoration x2. You lose the 5 solar grenades spam but get easier healing, which I think can be extended with Empyrean alongside Radiant from the melee with Torches. You can even be more defensive if you use Slice instead of Overflow in the Scatter Signal, although I would use Slice and Controlled Burst for the first boss with Sunbracers and Karnstein for the second one with Overflow and CB.

just one more option for the strand fusion: you can use slice in the first column so you can serve the boss, and you deal extra damage to strand rebuffed target while radiant.

Really beautifully chilled explanation of a mechanic that's difficult for many (me included) when you are in the heat of battle. Then it's just practice and make mistakes until it's just automatic. Thanks for sharing this.
But.....man oh man is the last boss a total sponge and running well warlock takes literally forever.....so long that it's really not a challenge, it's incredibly boring and a huge waste of time. Not skillful at all , sitting waiting for super to come back. Bungie needs to level these boss fights for solo players because it's not fun. Screw the emblem, not even gonna use it. But thank you for the guide, time to run another character.
You dont need to wait for the super could argue the same for hunter waiting and only using nighthawk for example@@Globespy

NOICE! Heart Of The Flame if running with allies, Solo Operative if you're running solo. No need to change your artifact for either sitch.👍🏾
lesser known fact about heart of the flame, it does work solo because the game sees the caster as an ally. its only like 4% though so its not a big deal
For final boss, since psions always spawn near you when damage starts, and you’re in a well anyway, you’d technically get more damage out of surrounded on apex, but tbf, bait and switch is much more consistent
alright, i like it, Dragons Breath is so much fun
note on the Artifact perks, you can swap the "Torch" (more damage to Stand/Stasis debuffed targets well radiant one) to Unraveling orbs (picking up an orb of power gives your strand weapons unraveling rounds) not much more damage but hey optimization station baby

Also after a full day of attempt yesterday, the ogre boss has a thing that doesn’t come up too often but can happen and it killed like 3 of my runs, he will randomly and I do mean randomly cause I had to have been on hour 4 or 5 of attempts before I saw this once, will rush you down like you owe him money, yes it was when he was at low health however I got plenty of attempts past him (the final boss and warlock jump in the taken rock room are real run killers) and he only did it the 3 times I will have to see how many attempts I actually did.
Tl;dr the ogre can rush at you when you are moving between plates/fires in the damage phase. Just so people are aware

I'd recommend karenstein arms with legendary Judgment of kelgorath, which leaves an open exotic slot for your heavy. Healing grenade which provides x2 resto and necessary fragments to extend this. Much easier IMO
Heat rises and jumping for kills in 2nd boss area got me booped off the map by the ogre so much. In the end went wilth Dawn Chorus and 2x restoration from healing nade.
For the final boss do I need the cata for sunshot and if I do can I get away with using a Zahoulis bane?
Good tip if you need a heavy for final boss when you get to the 3 plates. You can put on solar scavengers and get 4 rockets instead of 2

I don't have the calus mini tool so is the epochal integration a good second option also in the final bows can j use my crux termination IV with flown cartridge and exploding light instead

Not related to the guide but what is the name of the armour set you are using it looks so good
For my solo flawless run on Warlock I just used Karnatein armlets with the summoner Heal clip/ Incandescent, or Luna howl with the same roll… primary for most of it was scatter signal until hefnd, I then swapped to mountaintop with auto loading / recombination. Heavy was Dragons breath up until hefnd, I then swapped to Apex with Recon / Bait and switch.
It’s super easy to run this build melee charged or not to get resto lvl 1, finisher to get resto lvl 2… with summoner or Luna popping things left and right you’re immortal pretty much, however if you get close to dying reload and you get a burst of healing from heal clip 😂 no jumping required, your feet are stuck to the ground the entire time.
What’s a good alternative that apex rocket? I currently don’t have it crafted.
Is the warlock the besto for this solo?
The prison section is bugged as of Into the Light, the gate that allows you to shoot the other gears and the lever to escape has both open and closed gates at the same time

You can actually hit all of them in that first room if you use something with explosive payload, the angles are really tight and annoying to get. But it is doable
What is that shield looking mod in the chest and leg armor mod slot? I've seen it before but never knew the name lol.

I tried this build but seemed too complicated and id run out of restoration with no way of getting it back with no nade, melee, or class ability charged sometimes. Its much easier to use Karnstein Armlets and do a finisher or get a melee kill then throw a healing nade to get x2 restoration. And i dont need charged abilities to get restoration back with Karnsteins.
I hope you get a Titan one out, too. I'm curious about what you have in mind
Did this get nerfed? I’m procing resto x2 but the time is only for like 3 seconds. Pretty difficult to maintain, have to focus on clearing adds solely.
dont forget on the Ogre and Hefnds vengeance they are Taken so Taken spec will give you an extra 3 percent dps over Boss specs 7 percent, take advantage of that 10 percent

I just struggle so much keeping radiant up. Those melee guys and heat rises. I can’t jump on ogre boss so how does heat rises stay up? Without it I don’t get my build

pretty fun to watch even though I have done it already. I did it on a strand/solar titan and was pretty easy. My only issue was my bad memory which caused me to lose a few runs due to the bitting cold debuff.
Shoo I’m on 7 hours in and still on last boss 😢 for the most part sunbracers work but I’m not being able to keep up restoration buff well. Sometimes I’m dying with the restox2 buff still up
you can eager edge through wall traps in the prison btw
Did they nerf how long resto last now?
I’m on bonk titan and my main struggle is the final boss, I keep overestimating how strong my sunspots are and I get overwhelmed by the taken balls, the wizards and the psions all ganging up on me, it’s a lot to juggle sometimes
i dont get restoration for some reason .. i did everything liken in the video
Idk why but my dragons breath is reloading by 6 shots instead of 4 and its really making my damage phase slow (why can't they just scale the bosses health man :_( )
Karnstein build is a million times easier to use to make this dungeon easy (for me)
Yeah proc solar grenades is pain when surrounded by adds and it healing fast enough!! Not all of us can have res at 100....
So no guide on titans because if not using the grapple melee combo it sucks?
Definitely the easiest way I think im going to solo flawless a new dungeon just started solo flawlessing dungeons a couple days ago and rn I have 6 out of eight dungeons done so cant wait to see what happens when I attempt war lord

Love the guide, but that first boss with the damn cages get me, I can always spot 2, and 3 out of 4 times, I can never spot the 3rd eye...
Heart of the flame has no use in Solo content. Switch it out to Origin Perk Specialization II for the Scatter signal
Just a heads up… unless they changed something, you can’t stack three elemental resist mods of the same element. It’s capped at two.
They changed that like 3-4 seasons ago when they nurfed DR and made 100 resil a 100% Must. It’s demolishing return per but triple DR of the same element does work it’s jest better to do 2 element and 1 positioning resist

Sad the bonk has been nerfed. Doesn’t feel the same. Now I use my hammer as a failsafe for if I need a quick bit of healing

Still a pain in the a## to keep restoration up specially if the scorn shield dudes block alot of your shots with there shield
How is Dragon’s Breath reloading itself exactly? It does with ignitions, right? Does the rocket shot itself cause ignitions?
An ignition will reload it and charge up some of it's fuel so it does more scorch damage
firing the rocket puts it at 1 fuel, it generates fuel at a rate of 1 every 6 seconds, ignitions from any source instantly grant two fuel, and when the rocket hits 5 fuel stacks it autoloads. The rocket at base without any help only procs one ignition, so run either ember of ashes or another way to scorch in order to get that second ignition for a quick full reload

I’m struggling to proc restoration I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong
This didnt work for me. Couldnt get past the first boss. Tried the rotation but i would either die (restoration just would never proc for me) and the things he drops on the ground are never together as if RNG hates me. Guess ill forever be 10.

The thing I just can't get down is shooting the eyes in the first bit. It was annoying before and it's even worse now attempting it by myself.
Also, don't know if I just need to practice it a bit more or what, but I really don't care for it. Granted, I've also always had a love/hate relationship with this dungeon. So that's not helping either.
How do you get your mods to cost less? I am not able to have those mods on my helmet.
Use the harmonic version of the mod and it will turn whatever you are trying to use into solar

@@adamboy0559 yeah you don’t get it, you get the emblem for the ghost normal completion, but the rewards such as the emblem will be added when bungie fixes the bug

Can someone please explain how at 3:30 the restoration jumps up to 12 seconds? Every time I do the exact chain of abilities the best I can get is like 5-6 seconds and sometimes not even that
It’s because his solar abilities are killing ads extending the timer.
@@woegee127 no matter how many ads I killed I can’t get it past like 5-6 seconds. Ended up using karnsteins instead and found it way easier to keep restoration up with finishing enemies instead of subracers. Timing for restoration was way too inconsistent and scorn are annoying as hell with their constant immune teleporting for ability kill upkeep
I don't understand why anybody uses sunbracers. They're just not good. It takes too much to set them up. By the time you get it set up you're getting killed by something from being shot in the back in this dungeon.
How are they difficult to use? Kill something with powered melee and spam grenades everywhere lol.
@@DecayedHuman yeah except most of the time the melee does just enough damage to not completely kill something in the environment is so ad dense you have little option to escape
Karnstein are way easier to proc. Regular or powered melee gives x1. Finisher gives x2.
So I just died at final boss with restoration x2 not from the Wizards shooting me together but the Scorn mini boss that drop the totem… I am so mad. I must have got shot by the scorn, the boss and I guess the blight that was next to him? That was my first time dying to that in all my attempts so wanted to let everyone know to be careful around them. This was on first platform.
Wonder if there's another build with easier uptime on the resto x2 - I really struggle with sunbracers.

Try arc, with Vesper
When built correctly, ridiculous amounts of grenades, rifts, and arc souls
You want to complain about ads? Vesper
You need healing? Vesper helps by being surrounded and supercharging your rift.
You need some damage reduction? Arc has that nice spark of Resistance when surrounded.
Need more DPS? Chaos Reach charges quick even with Vesper.
I like well and all but it's not always the play. Even solo

Build works really well, shame tho that the emblem is bugged for a week now
Never gonna do it, last boss is just pain. Between the hourglasses that does not spawn, taken mob that give you back the debuff after he dies or even bullshit boss that shoot at you with attacks that can do Initial D drifts.
Wonder would a quick switch to weavewalker on the run up to the last boss help? Some quick invis to bypass some stuff like your hunter guide
Go for it. There's no wrong option here, it's all personal preference. Mactics keeps solar on mostly for restoration and Icarus dodge, which is safe and easy to use.
Weavewalk works great for dodging the clumped-up spawns, but doesn't really provide combat aid or restorative abilities, so it's mostly neglected outside some very niche builds that make you almost perma-invis through melee regen.
Always remember: your run, your pain. When solo, no one will diss you for being off-meta or having sub-par damage, so just have a bit of fun.
the amount of random 1-shots this dungeon has is insane, this is by far the wors solo flawless activity bungie ever made (including GM's)
plus every 10 runs you'll get a complete d2 client crash, never had this many crashes in d2 before this season.
Bro I’ve been wanting to get one of these dungeon titles for the longest time and this solo part is what always keeps me from doing it. I hate these triumphs because this obviously built to NOT be done alone, but they still expect us to do solo it. It’s kind of annoying ngl.
Update Edit: I can’t do it. The final boss is just way too much. There’s ads shooting and multiplying constantly, eyes shooting at you, wizards mapping you across the arena, the boss doing insane levels of dmg even with 3 Void Resistance mods and healing, big guys who spawn and do a good amount of dmg, and the Hex you gotta give away and the taken blights on the floor. It’s too much to deal with, there’s no place to hide…nothing. I give up. This isn’t my first time trying but it’s definitely my last time ever attempting any solo dungeons. Not worth it over some stupid title.
Sunbracers are not s tier in this dungeon. They can work, sure, but dawn chorus makes things go boom.
Fully agree. Super easy to keep resto x2 up with a simple healing greande and a solar weapon - plus the Daybreak super damage is so nice on top of everything else
Argh I did it but I’ve never soloed a dungeon and didn’t know I couldn’t take a break and continue from checkpoint
I found karnsteins to be easier, procing resto x2 w just a finisher is best.
If only it actually rewarded you tge emblem instead if the standard gotd one
