10:30 it basically depends on the actual damage roll you get with the shot if the track HP is 453 and you get a 454 damage roll, you track it, if it is only 452 you don't track it so it's best to increase it as high as possible, so you only get tracked from high alpha guns or high roll with lower damage guns
Depends on the terrain resistance since it’s not only about how fast you go (top speed wise) but also about turning speed ( which you will actually lose out on even with the + traverse speed).
Agreed, the module damage doesnt have anything with detracking the tank, its only about the damage roll you will get. Its funny that while this guy was testing that in his video with "wrong field mod", he was highrolling all the time and conversely. But never mind. Buch of people here were convinced about something which is actually wrong, so i can farm them even more easily. :D
Really informative, thanks. I nearly always use hardening as I start a grind, as the weight limit adjustment allows you to use the top turret and gun without researching the tracks early, and also often lets you use a rammer which also adds to the weight. You can often skip tracks altogether, if the research path allows.
Oh this thing. Damaging the tracks through drive wheels is either tied to alpha rolls (high on dmg=high on module dmg) or the track health literally means the dmg roll it can take. You actually see this at 10:06 when a low damage roll doesn't destroy the tracks of the bond hardening chief whereas the previous 3 high/normal rolls do. Haven't tested this long enough to actually confirm that 375 alpha roll destroys 375 tracks every time but the basic principle definitely is something like that.
I watched your conq video explaining about track health and hardening. As a but of a brawler and a yoloer I have to say changing to your method and using hardening and the right field mod improved my survivability in heavy tanks and therefore I trade better and have been averaging more damage. So thanks for the useful information and not just showing us videos of your gameplay and how awesome you are (like other CCs)
Wow, thanks for the info MaxGamingFPS ... I just checked with my Skode T 56 and I guess I will choose the right field mod + Improved hardening (even better then bounty upgraded).
this and the previous video are the best about field mods I finally understand and not just copying thank u very much best cc imho wish u could stream more often regularly
Awesome video, we all want to see game footage, but this information is very important. I have been playing for 2 years and there are tons of things I still don't understand.
I only put Improved Hardening on after getting repair perk trained to 100%. I use the other equipment that is green (can't remember the name of it) until then unless the tank is a super heavy in which case I use Improved Hardening from the start
very nice 👍 This also shows that the experimental Tier3 "Survival Improvement Suite" is horrible on 250-track-health-tanks. While it is fine on 300-track-health-tanks 🤔
I played this game for over 10 years and still have been making this mistake... Amazing video! I guess its time to change the field mods on my 20 tier X heavie tanks lol
Very well explained, thank you. I never picked any of those casue I wasn't sure if I want to lose any of those stats and which is actually worth it on certain tanks.
This applies for average and below average players only. A super unicum will very rarely exposes their entire tank to a bunch of enemies to get tracked in the open, but for bad players who makes mistakes often this can be a difference between life and death. Just like premium foods will not be good for bad players as they wont feel the advantage it gives but they will burn way more often since they will make more mistakes and get hit way more often than an excellent player will.
tracking yes, but small hp boost, applies for unicums a lot more than average player, someone supergood will get a lot more out of staying alive or not being oneshot, just because he has like extra 250hp
@@durachoks depends on the tank and the player's playstyle, another equipment like IAU or vents will be more noticable than hardening. Well known streamers like skill4ltu or iyouxin are not often seen using hardening due to their playstyle, while player like dakillzor uses it on every tank. Although in general, the best players will not get hit as much as a lesser player, thus reducing the value of hardening significantly.
@@JWil97 well its other way around, one of the most important things in this game is survivability, how long you can stay in the game, and as you said, good players get hit less, so those 250 hp will go for them a long way, so more time to farm damage. Thats why you see player like Daki using it on everything, also Skill playstyle is very passive, so ofc he will not benefit from it that much. Also lol at vents and IAU being more noticeable xD I will set two tanks with and without one of them and give you play 10 games in each, you will never ever be able to tell the difference
You are right. Because a lot of Unicoms let teammates usually take the hits anyway. I've seen way to many 60% players camp and farm dmg the same as 45% players. Atleast on the NA server!
Great info. Does a bond hardening (6000 bonds) give a heavy tank a real advantage? I was thinking of a KV-5 with Bond hardening and if it would really help it in several ways.
Can you make a video about the best tanks for experimental equipment? Like putting it on 430U revolutionized that tank for me. Some of them are obvious like putting it on 279e (which I don't have)
With tier 9's, do you still need 400 track hp? The e75 with no first mod reaches 412 and moderately good resistances. I'm thinking of eliminating my first mod and playing a couple of games to test if i'm tracked vs tier 9s and so
Same as tier 10, with 412 you are already in pretty safe spot, if you go below 400, you no longer will. Testing in battle might be inconclusive or give false results, since it depends on players you'll meet and situations - if they even try/be able to shoot your tracks for example.
I prefer improved configuration on tanks like E75, T110e5, Concept 1B, WZ 11 1-5A because they have delicate ammorack and engine so its better to know when and how use proper module on particular tank.
Guess it's lucky the tanks that need it most to Survive like TS 5, T110E3, Jg.Pz. E100, Etc. get to take Harding and the top left side Field Mod (Reinforced Suspension) Because without a turret you get tracked your dead ! least a HT has a turret and can fight for there life :)
I always wondered where that 400 track HP threshold came from. The numbers didn't add up. Now I have my answer: experiments. But then again, why does WG hide all this? How are players supposed to make good decisions without all the information? At least we will have Platinum Diamond WoT+ Premium Turbo Diesel Deluxe Membership...
Hardening is needed for a brawling tank, so hardening is needed when you're using a LeFe since you will need to spot tanks and brawling will be inevitable if that's the case. Learned new things everyday. Anyways, another terrible content max. See you on your terrible streaming schedules.🤙🤙

@@MaxGamingFPS true, but the Kranvagn has particularly shit terrain stats, most heavies will have better, apart from maybe an IS-7

I would never skip anything. Elite all your tanks!
but that aside so it really works, that's incredible! basically skipping a part of the stock grind!
Very informative. After watching this I added hardening to my Vz 55 (was running vstabs and IA) and picked up bounty hardening for my S. Conq.

well done for looking into that for us, it was more complicated than I first thought. cheers fella.
Good discussion of this overlooked mechanic. Especially the bit about the field mod. Cheers.

Many times I asked myself about this topic. Thanks.
Great vid! I'm going to go and fine tune some of my tanks right away.
Nice video i learned a lot of things that i didn't know , good job

Just the Web -Side is a Gem. I can check what Moduls ect...better perform for on my tanks .

IH only have sense for turetless TDs. Can't see why to put it on HT and basically throw one equipment slot.
Hi Max, thanks for your vids. Could you explain the difference between the gun laying drive, vert stabs and improved aiming device. Super confusing

you should tell skill about this because his site says to use left hand field mod on a lot of heavies or not all of them.

Lol, don't make me change all my tanks, Max.
399 is alright -max
As i said before calm voice no drama and to the point ....as for wot comunnity i find a lot of their advices wrong imho!
Poor Patriot with its 200 base track health. Can never get above 400 :(
Thx wg for not telling us ingame about terrain resist 😂
i never use hardening 🥰
i am not helping my enemy's mark of excellent 🥰

Y call it hardening when it's called enhanced armor yall confuse too much
This game has so much complexity which only ensures you will pick something suboptimal. Ugh.
I have never thougt of trackhealth. what..... now i know why I am a 50slight player ;-)
