i think fourth wing got a lot more hype than other fantasy books because a lot of non-fantasy readers found it easy to read and interesting. ive noticed that a lot of readers who mainly read fantasy found it mid/a little above average whereas mainly romance readers LOOOOOOVED it. i think the dragons also helped it get more hype

fourth wing, imo is for fans of books like acotar, hunger games etc or someone looking for their first fantasy read. if u are familiar enough with the genre, u probably won't enjoy it as much bc we've read a lot like it/better. but for new fanasy readers, this type of romantasy might be a good place to start. i personally gave fourth wing ⭐️⭐️ it wasn't that enjoyable for me and i had a lot of problems with the writing, but objectively, it's not a bad book.

I'm constantly squinting/covering up pages with my hand when I feel like something is coming up so that part when you finished Fourth Wing cracked me up lol. Another great video!!
For things we left behind, I’m the opposite, the romance for me I was not anticipating because I didn’t like sloane and Lucian’s romance or characters in the other 2 novels so I actually really enjoyed this book because it was different than I was expecting. It was a lot more nuanced and their background interested me because they weren’t together in the past, they just really cared about and loved each other in other ways. But also resented each other that’s why they didn’t have a romantic interest in the present. It was just tension but they still cared about each other and wants the other happy. Of course I love seeing all the other characters in this and it tied it up really well in the future where everyone spends holidays at Sloane’s house because that’s what she’s always dreamed of and wanted to make happen to honor her dad. I tend to have different instincts and feelings on books than others.
The notification I just received saying Sara uploaded this video has made my day. I’ve had a bad day at work and my buses home are delayed by an hour so I am currently half way through a 45 minute walk home. I cannot wait to shower, get in bed and watch this!! ❤
