For people making a big deal out of Mingyu being shirtless - stop assuming he did not like it because he’s being over sexualized and objectified - that’s an entirely different issue! Stop twisting what the idols said! They literally mentioned during the discussion that he did not like the scene because it’s out of place in the MV! Him BEING just shirtless is not the issue but HOW it did not fit the MV which is true, it was gratuitously added. Mingyu literally has minutes of him being FULLY SHIRTLESS in Nana Tour but he has no issue with it because it fits their vacation because that’s how they spent it their time. Lastly, stop babying Mingyu - he’s not a rookie! He’s a 9-year idol and if you’re a Carat you know that upon renewing their contracts they mentioned they added a clause that the company cannot force them to do anything they don’t like! Mingyu can literally had the scene remove if he truly hated it the way you all overdramatic fans portrait it to be! In the end he agreed to have it added after eventually agreeing with Seungkwan, just stop babying SVT for absolutely no reason, they are adult and knows what they are doing Again, no one FORCED anyone to do anything so ya’ll need to stop making assumptions that they did not listen to him or what not. Mingyu is one of the reasons why it took SVT quite a long time to decide their contract renewal because he’s very meticulous in what goes in their work and contract - He’s cery vocal when it comes to his work. If it ended up in the MV it means he agreed to have it added in the end. I understand trying to protect Mingyu but he’s an adult! He makes decision for himself so ya’ll need to stop twisting idols words to try and create these fantasy scenarios in your head just for you to feel like you’re protecting him, it’s so weird!

Idk whether mingyu was simply shy or disappointed about his shirtless scene in the reaction video as I noticed that dk cheered initially but immediately turned behind to reassure gyu because he's aware that gyu is not happy about it. It's not about him being shirtless on screen but that the scene feels out of place to him so I get it. Hopefully, things like these can be avoided in the future. :)

He doesn’t hate the scene it’s self. He hates the way Carats reacted towards it. At first he was not satisfied with his scene and wanted it to be cut, but Sungkwan insisted on it being added, so Mingyu agreed.
