I'm an amateur with a portfolio of 40k but it's hard for me to build confidence. I really want to hit the 100k mark soon. I want to invest another 20k over a one month span, but I want to be strategic about doing it so I can grow more and not stay stagnant. Any stock suggestions?
I agree. There's a lot of potential in the market. My friend introduced me to a financial advisor in 2021, and even though I was skeptical, I went on. I finally was making enough monthly dividend to quit my soulless job and pursue my dream to start a restaurant in New Jersey and still earn five figures in monthly dividends.
That's really great. I've tried doing some research myself to hire a financial advisor, but it's really overwhelming. Could you recommend who you work with, please?
It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks in this bull run. I'm contemplating investing more than $300k for retirement. While the bull run can generate short-term excitement, i also need long-term investment strategy
It seems like there's potential, but caution is warranted. hence I will advice you get yourself a financial advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points
Having an investment advisor is the best way to go about the stock market right now. I used to depend on TH-cam videos but it wasn't working. I’ve been in touch with an advisor for a while now, and just last year, I made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.
I have worked with a few financial advisors before now but i ultimately settled for Melissa Elise Robinson. She is SEC regulated and licensed in US. You can easily look her up.
Thanks for the video. I finally established a way to increase my net income per month. My 2024 goal is to pay off the house by Sept 2024 (8 years total into a 30 year @ 4%). I have no debt other than mortgage. My 401k, HSA, IRA and emergency funds get maxed out. The mortgage is my last piece of debt left. I don't have any school loan or CC debt. I've made a lot of sacrifices over the years.
it's so obvious that things are not improving. I'm looking at high-yield dividend stocks. Selling 200k worth of stocks is stupid without reinvesting it. I might turn to cash soon if I don't invest it. Any particulars? (Buying bonds or CDs is not for me)
De-risk your portfolio, shore up your core holdings, and take some profits while balancing your portfolio allocations. I’d also suggest you go with a managed portfolio, but even those don’t perform so well, so it’s best you reach out to a proper fiduciary to guide you, that’s what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 80% capital growth minus dividends.
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like "JENNIFER LEIGH HICKMAN" I've worked with her for 9 years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.
For high conviction positions, I stopped doing simple long term calls and starting taking synthetic long positions by selling an at the money put and buying an at the money call. This takes my actual investment basis down to almost nothing (in fact, for many true "value stocks" I can net a small profit out of opening the synthetic long position) and for the most part I ride 100% of the ups and downs of the stock. This also allows me to take the money I would've invested in a long call or in simply purchasing shares of the stock and allows it to collect interest at the prevailing money market rate (in my case, this money sits in SPAXX for Fidelity, which is currently paying around 5% annually but is distributed monthly).
Tour videos are much appreciated. Is there any reasons, except for a leap put has to be held for its term ,or the stick price could drop , is a poor play? For example, a 2 year lrap put would generatean 100% return.
It's important to consider how sensitive LEAPS on high prices stocks are to interest rates due to the high Rho. NVDA and ADBE LEAPS can lose a lot of value if interest rates decrease
Henry which broker do you use ? Great video as always Henry , as someone that was educated in this industry and worked in it in the mid 80s i still learn new things every time i watch your vids.
Been using LEAPS for 6 months now, wither a 40-60% ROI so far. Kicking myself today, opted to do a covered call on a stock rather than LEAP and stock jumped $10 a share in one day … would’ve been better off with the EAP. PLTR is another stock I should’ve done LEAP at $15 rather than covered call ( where I got my but kicked).

Yes. At the same time, you must be careful with such high Delta. Big institutions tend to start taking big profits when they see their investments getting close to .80-.90 Deltas. .60-.70 entry Delta is pretty safe. Even .40-.50 is still safe if you’re buying Leaps.

Leaps at 80 to 90 Delta is the way to go…
Meaning if the stock goes up $1, your leaps option goes ip approximately $1…
I mean you know the delta is how much it changes? So it’s not 1$ it’s .8 or .9 which is good. Just not the same.
if you want dollar per dollar move that follows the price action they usually say you buy a strike at .7 delta
