I have a set of the 6000 black Rivals for my 11ft pike rods, they're great!! Loaded up with 150m of 65lb braid, ideal for 95% of my pike fishing!! Great drag, nice handle and the quick fold is perfect in winter when your hands are frozen!!
What type of drag system is there in these reels. Website only mentions "strong and smooth drag". Is it carbon or jst felt drag washers.

Would 7000 be to big for 9ft
I use 6000 reels on my 10ft rods and find them more than ample.
6000 would suit 9ft better 7000 would be to big
