- As you probably know we are travelling on a budget. When we found a cruise for less than £90 per day for us both it was a no brainer to take it. We arrived in CocoCay expecting everything to cost extra and we did not have the budget to be spending any extra money. Were we surprised or was it as we expected?? CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas.

another great video, when we were at Coco Cay in 2018, the work had just started to build what there is now and there was no Dock, we tendered in, also, we were on Azamara and were the only ship in, so it was very quiet. we swam with stingrays and lem9n sharks just off the beach and the water was crystal clear. looks very different now to when we were there. laughed about the chickens and also when you were walking back to the ship in the rain 😅 remember the pigs in Hawaii 😂

Absolutely crazy! Even if we had the money there is a lot better things I could think of spending it on than them.

Very thorough video! We went to Cococay right after the pandemic on a ship at 50% capacity. We are going back next year and were concerned now that cruising is back to normal there would be no seats and it would be overcrowded. It’s good to know there’s still room to enjoy at no extra cost.
Hopefully you guys get better weather than us 😂They are opening a whole new adults only area in January so it should spread people out even more!

Hope you don't mind me asking but how did you get your status? We've got hilton and Msc but looking to branch out best way possible.

Hey! Dimond status with RCI is 75 Nights onboard in a standard cabin or half that in a suite. We were lucky enough to sail in a suite in 2019 with my parents for 11 nights which was absolutely amazing and gave us 22 points. We took several really cheap cruises last year and again this year. Our cruise across the Atlantic cost us only £75 per night for 13 points. It is totally worth it to get to diamond as the benefits are really good at that level and above. We use either a travel agent (Your Way Travel) or sea scanner to find the cheapest cruises that fir in our tight budget and we can get the status relatively quickly!
How do you like Msc? We have only ever cruised with Royal but often see cheap deals on MSc which would be in our budget!

@aimeeandleetravel My first cruise was on Tui and really enjoyed it.
Love Msc and some of the new ships are amazing. Off to dubai in January. Really want to book Msc Europa. We have both got Diamond status with Msc now so makes it harder to venture into other cruise lines.
It's a minefield trying to keep up with the new ways on each cruise line.
We're enjoying traveling with our 2 year old now, looks a little different to the journey you guys are on.

This can be an expensive island.
We didn't spend anything extra at CocoCay in 2019. The waterpark was *free* when we were there IIRC, unless we paid for that in a package ahead of time. We were also the only boat in the port, which was nice as it wasn't overcrowded. It was the first time I remember not being overstimulated when out of my cabin.
I is very busy with 2 ships in, especially if one of them is an oasis class, however there was still plenty space for everyone! I couldn't believe just how much the waterpark cost.
