This video explores the construction of the first twin tunnel in Chhattisgarh, which is part of the Raipur-Vizag Expressway*. The tunnel is being built by *KMV Projects & will be 2.79 km long with three lanes in each direction. The video covers various aspects of the tunnel project including:
Safety measures: ventilation ducts, CCTV cameras, fire fighting system, etc.
Construction progress: stop-stabilization work is underway, drilling expected to start in May 2024.
Completion timeline: excavation expected to be completed in 15 months, total project completion in 2 years (by 2025).
The video also clarifies a common misconception that the tunnel is being built in Keshkal. It is actually being built in Govindpur, around 30 km away.
