The befuddled look on Alan Shore’s face at the end is quite the contrast to his absolute look of confidence when he addresses a jury or in deposition. Great Actor that James Spader. He plays the emotional bandwidth with great ease.
Denny saying “feel free to disagree with me the woman was batty” is such a subtle line that’s so perfect. Idk why but him offering that gave him such an out if she did disagree
A lesson in how make an impact , offend and right away apologize . Then, to own the room with a compelling argument like only Denny Crane can pull off in a feminist / politically correct mainstream . "Everybody wants to be desired" . Just plain perfect . A similar analogy could be said about life in some way , sometime's better to make a negative impact , be true to who you are, than to go through it inadvertedly or faking for others to like you . This is just stuff of the genious Crane - Shore - Kelley . The holy trinity of TV series .
I mean you do realise that if what Crane says is true, then that isnt in any way an indictment of feminism or a justification for sexual assault. I dont see what feminism has to do with it.

I enjoyed the various episodes, the ones that I managed to view, as I was working nights. I was often impressed with the amazing monetary settlements that the various lawyers managed to get for their clients. And I had also wondered just where was that funding coming from, as the various law firms within the City of Boston too had to be doing well? As it turns out, right across the Charles River, lies Cambridge and the University of MIT, read that somewhere. Also heard that there were more lawyers working at MIT than engineers. Sort of tongue in check, I suppose, but even in marginally true, what might all those lawyers be doing at MIT? Perhaps protecting the Intellectual Property rights of the engineers and others there? If a picture doesn't make any sense (or perhaps just a little sense) what is it you have to assume that makes the picture work? A restatement of the Scientific Method, maybe/
Rhona Mitra is extremely sultry with that sexy English accent and exotic looks. BTW, half Indian, half Irish I believe. Talk about lovely hybrid vigour.
@CrimsongloryXV For the first seven seasons "The Practice" was one of the most gritty, dark, intensely serious law series ever made. And as is most of David E Kelley's work, it is brilliant! Alright now I am both angry and thrilled. I never watched the practice and loved boston legal. How many seasons were denny and alan on the practice and were they main char's? I will have to watch this entire show!!!!
jokes aside, the point he put across is something that has to be pondered upon. truthfully, if you look at social media today, there is a blatant call out for validation and attention seeking behaviour that is being portrayed by women today. what better a way to get that validation and have your share of attention that say being scantily dressed, doing idiotic things while showing ample skin and downright 18+ behaviour on these apps. how would society respond if suddenly men stopped feeling attracted to women altogether or stopped showing their attraction towards women altogether. that would change society massively.
