Middle eastern theme parks tend to get very long maintenance windows. I'm actually tempted to travel there just to ride this, but honestly it's just a temptation. I don't even know if I can drink a beer to celebrate after. The ride will be a major achievement and probably be thrilling. I just don't know if I'll ever visit to ride it.
Fix the country first, or spend the money to build it where people can ride it without being worried about going to prison and being beaten for disagreeing with your god.

It blows my mind how big the budget is for this coaster, but can’t make a half decent animation for the ride. Six flags usually makes superb animations for their latest constructions.

I'm predicting insane amounts of down time and furious enthusiasts who booked trips to Saudi Arabia for this thing and didn't get to ride it. TT2 made it all of a week before having to close indefinitely for train modifications.

a lot of people think itll be down too much, but if we're being honest, in a place with a lot less safety restrictions than say the US, the issue will probably be that they run it even when its not safe

So what are we calling 500ft coasters? Exo coaster?

from what i’ve heard 500-599ft height or drop is a super coaster and 600-699ft height or drop is an exa coaster
"Exa" as in 10^18. If 400-499 foot coasters weren't dubbed "strata" coasters, they'd be "tera" (10^12) coasters, as "giga" (10^9) and "mega" (10^6) are the prefixes below that. My guess is Intamin skipped over "peta" because the average person doesn't think of petabyte hard drives when they hear or read it.
Although "exo" would refer to the exosphere (vs. stratosphere), so Intamin could change it if they wanted to...

Are there any other 600 ft coasters? Ok then, this coaster was going to be in a category by itself no matter what you named it. Coasters are classified by height in increments of 100 ft. (Hyper-200, Giga-300, Strata-400, etc.). You can call it Googly-ButtButt, if it means 600 ft then this is the only coaster in the category.
Don't they have names for ever height barrier? Hyper, giga, strata..exa is just the next height tier
Coaster Height Titles:
100ft: Mega-Coaster
200ft: Hyper-Coaster
300ft: Giga-Coaster
400ft: Strata-Coaster
500ft: Terra-Coaster

The roller coaster is being built in the desert. That’s why it’s the longest and I don’t think they have a height requirement in that country they can go as high as they want
Roller coaster requirements are global. The reason it is so long is because it's so big, the bigger you make a coaster, the longer you will need to make every section of the coaster. They still had to follow certain restrictions from IAAPA for coasters. Intamin had to get a lot of approval to even begin building this coaster.

It should have had a 4th record for the steepest In the world, bc that’s another main record, but I can understand why that’s not a record on this coaster bc since it’ll be so fast and tall if it was over 122 degrees steep then people might puke or get too much of a head rush, bc when I rode the steepest in the world (tmnt shellraiser) you could feel the steepness so much and it feels like your body just turned inside out if that makes sense, so a 122 degree drop taken at that height and speed could be dangerous
My only thing is that not everyone is gonna be able to afford to go travel there.
