Snake-skin and Marble Nail Art!

Today we’re doing 2 techniques to do bubble nails.
I’m sculpting the nail already, and I’m going to start with Serious Black on the top section of the ring finger, apply top coat, cure and them add chrome and top coat again to seal it in. I’m going to do white on the bottom half, use permanent markers and gel residue wipe off solution to create the marble effect. Apply top coat and before curing, add the bubble mix of Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution, Water and Dish Soap. Cure and then wipe the whole nail with Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution. I’m going to do a mix of these two techniques on the other nails.
For the pointer finger, I’m doing a marble swoosh in the middle of the nail and the chrome around the rest, adding bubbles to the whole nail. For the middle finger, I’m doing marble on the top and chrome on the bottom, and bubbles to the marble section. On the pinky I’m doing full chrome and on the thumb I’m going full marble.
I’m then going to add bling, obviously. and finish with cuticle oil.

Super gorgeous...the imprinted bubbles looks to me more like snake skin. The rich, dark chocolate with creamy nougat nails are fantastic!! Bellissimo!!

Due to having brain surgery caused by an aneurysm I have had to re-learn almost everything. Nails being the most important one to me. I’ve done them for 30 years but you wouldn’t know that now. As with before your videos have taught me so much and have given me so much inspiration. I find you to be the best teacher I have ever had. Thankyou from a very grateful fan.
So for the bubble mixture, sounds like 2 parts water (10ml), 2 parts dish soap (10ml), and 3 parts gel res wipe-off solution (15ml aka 1tbsp). I work as a pharmacy tech so i have to do these conversions A LOT! Hope that helps anyone trying to figure out the measurements!

Oh, I just adore how the bubble technique looks over the chrome product! It's like a metallic snake skin! I absolutely LOVE it! This makes me want to try to do a diamond backed rattlesnake skin, if I could figure out how to do a sort of gold and bronze mottled metallic powder with gun metal or black stainless steel look diamond pattern over the gold and bronze metallic marble. Then topcoating and adding the bubbles to make the snakeskin pattern. If I could make it work (or if Kirsty could) it would be GORGEOUS!!!

The bubble effect on the Crome looks like a chic alligator bag. That would be a cool video you know, like in the 50’s when women would matched their nails to their bags and lipstick! A alligator bag nail with hardware would be sick, match it to a chic bag and beautiful lipstick art. When doing bubble technique make sure you are using the LIGHTEST of weight of the bubbles so there is LESS water in and on the nail if you BLOW the bubbles in a bowl and let the bubble sit for a bit you get less water from the bubbles then you dont get the ROUGH TEXTURE and the area will be much smoother, also when you still have bubbles on the nail after curing you did it properly and then with a wipe and a tad of acetone and WAAAALAA..BUBBLE NAIL... just thought I'd share that tip since it is such a cool effect for nail art
