I was watching your video and literally started bawling. I miss Jamaica 🇯🇲 so much. I haven't been home in over 12 years and further more unlike a lot of people I love flying. For me it's a spiritual thing. I feel so much closer to God. Makes me realize that in comparison to this great expanze we are just a dot.. thank you for this video. I'm going to plan a trip for next year. 🧡🤞
I've taken this flight a few times. It always feels like you're going to land in the water. I cried the first time when I saw the water. It was my first time back in the ocean since I was a kid. I live by the ocean now, but I'll always remember my first trip to Jamaica. I loved the people and the food and the water. I could easily live there.
The name of the airport is Sangster International Airport, named after Donald Sangster, a past Prime Minister in Jamaica. It is the largest of 3 International airports on the island with Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) the second largest. Who knows the 3rd International Airport on the island?
…thanks for the correct airport name…just updated the video title…is the third largest airport Ian Fleming International Airport in Boscobel St Mary though more often sited in relationship to serving Ocho Rios…cos of the high tourist traffic there…I think it mainly receives private jets…🙏🏿👊🏿
@@visria3814 Ian Flemming International, formerly named Bosobel airdrome is our 3rd International Airport and will see scheduled flights from Florida this year. I can't remember the details, but one is with American Airlines if not mistaken and the other is a luxury service also from Florida.
...in all my travels so far there is nowhere yet like the descent into Mobay and Kingston except for maybe into Rio, Brazil...I was only disappointed that there was not applause as we landed ...which seems to happen more on flights that land in Kingston maybe because there are usually more Jamaican born or resident passengers onboard...

I enjoyed the video i was wondering how the pilots were able to go straight to the islands but saw the outline of the island on the tv monitor
Clapping tradition over... lol thought I was the only that run to a patty shop as I come off the flight
