    Thank you SO much, this was such a misconception. I way always clear on this from my end and even used to ask people who suggested me same thing, and I asked them "won't it look forced to the adcom if we do it now??????" and they are like we have to show it 🙄 But thanks for clarifying it, as coming from an expert it helps to clear these misconceptions :)

    What about schools like Georgetown, Boston College, Fordham, which are Jesuit Catholic schools - they believe in being “men and women for others”-don’t they highly value community service?

      All schools value people who are oriented towards being of service. The point is that it doesn't HAVE to be through charity work or through a structured community service venue for it to benefit your candidacy. Whatever ways you are going above and beyond your paid mandate to make life better for the people around you will count, even if it's all stuff that happens within the confines of your workplace. Does that make sense?

    Is competition necessary? e.g. case competitions. If it’s, how much do I need?❤

      Oh goodness no. Case competitions are also not necessary. If you like them, great! But they aren't necessary.
