Hi Kali, love the deck. I only have one note. The one-drop is pronounced "bear-n," not "barn". You're also correct with the Relic of Progenitus and Cache Grab interaction. It would work out in your favor if they had an exile replacement effect as well, such as Rest in Peace, since Cache Grab says "from among the cards milled this way"
That was a really nice run! Last game was a big shame. When you were confused with Cache Grab, it created food because you create both if you control or if you bring back a squirrel, and Masked Vandal counts as it. Thanks for the mentions! Love the deck becoming popular :)
Have you considered going Jund for Writhing Chrysalis, Temur Battlerage, and/or Oliphant? I have a lot of enemy flyers at my locals, so Writhing Chrysalis has been my major reason for making it jund But I'm curious about your thoughts or if you have a different plan for flyers
@@justwantawholenameYes, absolutely! Haven't had plenty of time to test lately, but definitely Chrysalis is next card. Also I want to test more black drawing (Eviscerator's Insight/Fanatical Offering) Currently, as they usually go wide, the game plan is to kill opponent before they do with Rancor + Ram Through, and hit area removals post side. It often works. Did you get good results with it? I have some concerns with adding a a 3rd color and 4 cost to an agro deck.
@@dbagan13 at my LGS I won against Jund reanimator and turbo fog 2-0, but went 0-2 against Izzet Blitz. I think that may be due to an incomplete sideboard though, I only have 1 copy of Weather the Storm. I was running x4 Nihil Spellbomb in the SB. I need to find some Arms of Hadar and Masked Vandal though. I was surprised how often Cache Grab made food with only 4 squirrels As far as Mana is concerned, I was able to play Chrysalis on curve. The major problem I ran into was just having the first land in hand without mulligans, so I thought about maaaybe adding just 1 forest. 6 forest 1 Khalni Garden 3 Gingerbread Cabin 1 Haunted Mire 1 Wooded Ridgeline 1 Mountain 1 Swamp
Great video as always! Unrelated topic that i wanted to ask you, Why do you think Monoblue Delver is so much more played then mono blue fae? They both seem to have the same weaknesses and strengths but i feel when playing, that Fae is better vs gruul ramp and elves (the super shitty matchups). Any theories?
I think that mono blue delver has a lot fewer bad matchups and can just go through people rather than trying to be cute. Plus there are a lot of sweepers around!
If we are uber-competitive, bringing snow lands is a downside, since Thermokarst would heal the opponent 1. ;) (Eventhough Ponza seems to have been completely replaced by Grul-Monsters.) ps: Acorn Harvest seems like it could be a nice addition.
@@kalikaizdelve not counting is kinda funny, but it’s just counting the mana you spend so I guess it makes sense. One more win for affinity but who’s counting anymore? Wait, actually I’m not sure lol does expend care about cmc, or just what you actually spend? Would myr enforcer count is what Im getting at sorry
This is a good deck. But having cache grab and malevolent rumble in the decks sometimes mills out the card you need. Or maybe i am just unlucky. I am currently running the deck with deadly dispute and fanatical offering instead and a couple of blood fountain.
1:26:35 Masked Vandal has changeling making it a squirl as well
nice! thanks!
FINALLY. I've been waiting for you to cover this deck. Been wanting to build this deck for a while
Also was thinking instead of the delver creature, how about using nadier's nightblade instead with all the tokens and bairn as sac outlet?
@@tdrrr4337 yeah that could be kinda sweet too actually
@@tdrrr4337 I like this idea, maybe just remove 2 Delvers for 2 Nadier's Night blades
