This was back in the day when people still believed in the Hollywood hype. If they made a show like this now, people would already be aware of the inside politics and that they probably weren't gonna be famous for too long.
Just a little tip. When calling something inside politics that basically means you yourself were looking for politics before the band was even made. Another fun fact is anything can be made political if you want it to be. That's your personal problem not everybody else's.
Lol I said fhe Same thing in most Hollywood industries like acting, modelling and singing people thought it was a easy way to have everyone love you and make loads of money. I kind of sympathise with the contestants of these times becauE even as a kid hollywood really brain washed us
GoofyMcFly 87 ikr... but ikaika or how ever u spell his name (first name called) quit. He was a big baby and complained about shit plus his family was behind him and didn’t like the contracts & wanted him to go solo. He missed out on being in a great group. Dan was a better fit anyway. They fit together. Pon intended .
It's tough, mine was rejected here in Toronto back in 01' by BMG, Jive, Sony, Universal, Zomba. They were extremely racist at the time. Never wanted a mixed group to lead the industry.
Awwww. So much brotherly love. I don't get it when guys say "dudes dont hug otha dudes, that shxt is gay." No it's not. None of them are gay and their hugging each other. So many guys are so wrapped up in being straight smh.
Jay Alford Guys who say things like that are the ones that have secret homosexual tendencies which is why they're so afraid of another man's touch. Because they're afraid they might like it too much 😄
God i was just able to watch that doc, i watched every ep of this show and i saw the interview where he said "its a formula..." my dad said he was an idiot giving it away it was contrived and we saw the episodes and everything fit.. Ikaika was lucky, i still remember him cause he dodged the bullet and you knew he did by the time that ep aired! That ep when they watch his interview was surreal, the whole thing is now cause of the doc....at least Lou left tons of evidence.....bastard.
"They will be superstars" Uhhh.... you will know who they are if you specifically watched this show. Sucks for them that the boy band bubble was about to pop.
@@poptalks3109 I would like to see both groups tour together for old time sakes. LMNT had some great tunes too. I wish they would release that unfinish song "Good in Good-bye" because the snippet was amazing.

Edu B. Rojas nah, Ikaika didn’t have it. I think the way it came up with - Ashley, Trevor, Dan, Erik Michael and Dan - was the way it was supposed to be
I recorded this show on VHS, lol. I was obsessed!
Same here.. even went to their first concert.
Me too!!!

So glad they added Dan Miller to the group after this original decision!

Lou Pearlman must have chosen the most beautiful guys in his opinion.
Just seeing this video on here now, but I do remember watching this!!! 😍😍
"Two guys are going to be so sad"
Those two guys (well 3 because Ikaika left) dodged a bullet.
I kind of agree but then we don’t know what they were before otown so having had the exposure may be better than nothing at all
Never knew being in a band would be like this

i remember watching this is grade 8 and @ 3:55 thinking, "The black dude knew he wasnt making it."
This was my show back in the day!!!!!!!!!!!!
The two who wasnt chosen the black and the Asian guy were literally the winners for not being in the group
Wole pyro - But still O- town rocks on their days. No regrets at all.
Trevor is black too
He’s mixed
Weren't they in LMNT with Ikaika?
@@romerussia1782 true though
Someone in november 2020??omg this is pure nostálgic, this remind me the teenage
ikaika reminds me kevin richardson from backstreet boys
yeah i thought i was the only one who noticed it.
Yeah, that's why he was picked. Lou had a recipe.
Ikaika- Kevin BSB
Ashley- Nick BSB
Jacob- JT Nsync
Eric- Howie D. BSB

I was soooo happy when Erik made it!
Back then.. Erick was my favorite.
Disturbing to watch after you see the documentary about Lou Pearlman
What was going on with lou pearlman
Otown stands for Orlando Town. Bcuz this show was filmed in Orlando Fl.

To bad lou pearlmen was more worried about money back than he made great groups but theyve been done wrong by him so much.
The grace of that guy who wasn't picked omg
jacob i heart you i miss watching this
Uncle Lou with his iconic "be a good boy" sign at 2:18.
😂😂😂 I can't... I had to go back to see what you were talking about... Too funny...

Yep
and they got zero money from this group at that time, Lou robbed them of everything they were basically working for free.
2:18.. showing ashley what he'll be doing in the future
O-Town and LMNT :)
I really would like to have LMNT back. O Town are already back but without Ashley

wrong; they've reunited since last year, i think

When boy bands all had the same manger
O-town was mostly compared to the backstreet boys
Nice
@JasonBourne342 hm... jacob said "as soon as we solved the problem i put him (ikaika) on the five".. so what u talking bout?
"I put him on the fly" I'm seriously wondering what that means.
How this guy was able to do this and exploit all groups and ghen take their money. Really hurts to know this all happened on live tv.
IIRC, wasn’t Ikaika, the guy who left early, the one Lard ass Lou wanted to move into the “big house” so Lou-ise could hit on him?
Wheres Dan?
Ikaika left and then Dan was chosen
Trevor? How?
How would o-town be if ikaika stayed
2015 end this month
ikaika was the best of all of them....
So sad ikaika not chosen
This is the typical way everything look Andy van one black guy one black woman this is why success never came the way it should have
