Excellent teaching Thank you Toon N for explaining the composition of different colours with the test tube visuals. I now understand why my attempts at mixing certain colours failed. Your videos are packed with so much useful information and examples. Please keep up the good work.
Hey Toon. Thanking you for sharing your pearls of wisdom. An issue I recently had was when mixing colours in poor light, affected my final outcome. Of course, at the time I was not aware of what was happening when I was referencing from an image to paint. Once in normal natural light, my canvas appeared darker and not true to actual colour that I was shown in reference art piece. Hours wasted. But I am not put off by this - another of life’s lessons. Dank U wel
That's so true, lighting conditions play a huge part. You can try and find lights with a temperature of about 5000-5500K, that helps tremendously. Also try and keep the reference (photo) in the same kind of light as the palette. Glad you keep going, these lessons sometimes are a bit hard, but on the other hand it's a valuable experience you'll never forget.👍👍👍
Thank you! As a beginner moving from pencil and graphics to acrylics, color mixing lessons are very appreciated!!
That's great, you're most welcome and enjoy the magic world of colors!👍🎨
The little test tubes & other visuals are a helpful teaching tool

You explain and demonstrate so well!
Thanks!👍
Can you do a video on pinks? I find it hard to mix pretty shades of pink.
I recently made a short video about mixing pink: th-cam.com/video/0tJH1YB1IjA/w-d-xo.html I'll make a slightly longer one in the future.👍🎨
As a suggestion, please show the full pallet for a few seconds at the end of the videos. Thx
I’ll try to remember!😂👏
