In case you enjoy shaman stories or stories about the spiritual world, get this book. It's about a Hmong girl who went into the spiritual world. It's an awesome book and I'm hoping to see more books from my people.

Damn this sounds like the place i was born at and lived until 4. The pool lol i think that was the only place with a pool. I think we moved to WI already before all the deaths at that pool but damn thats scary.

I think I know which apartment complex you’re talking about. My grandma used to live there and we often visited her. I used to see little kids playing at night and would asked my parents if I can go play with them. 😬

I’m thinking about moving to Sacramento in within two years. Kuv xav nyob where hmoob nyob ntau2 ua ke. I miss Vinai a lot because since we moved to the states, we had always lived in areas where there’s no hmong people. I used to be a very active kid in Vinai and would date little hmong girls my age easily without a problem and just very outgoing with many little friends, but since moving the states and having never lived around Hmongs I became so much less confidence (I kind of outgrew that now that I’m older at 36).

I live in Sac for about 40 years n still is. I think I know which apartment complex it is. There is only two apartment complexes that Hmong lived, one on South one in North. Last year, one of my cousin lived in that complex alone by himself and passed away mysteriously with no foul play. There were a lot of questions but no answers to his death. Yes, that place has a lot of Hmong and other low income refugees that still live there. Very scary.

I hope someone sends in a story about the apts on 24th street! I grew up there and had the most nightmares in that complex as a kid. I love to run outside at night to play with friends. I would always come home with a pain in my leg. My mom always have to offer food to the hungry ghost to stop giving me leg pains. My nightmares and leg pains went away after I move out of that complex. Very strange. My grandma claimed she also saw a poj ntxoog around 5am once in the complex She ran back home to grab supplies to catch pog ntxoog for medicine. lol. By the time she went back, the creature was gone.
