Just to be clear, you can use whatever preset you find in an expansion pack that you'd like. You can alter them or modify them, put them in beats or tracks or whatever and use them and sell them royalty-free. You can't use the preset in a sample pack, though, as in just reselling the sound/preset from the expansion. The NI guy was saying if you made a sound on Monark that sounds like something from one of their expansions, unluck you but you wouldn't be able to sell it as a sample in a sample pack. You could still use it in a track or beat, since they can't verify if you bought it or whatever. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "making sounds" if you mean sample packs or whatever. I think as a general rule, it's safer to make sample packs from your own samples (modified or whatever), but for the most part it doesn't really matter. If by some misfortune you get a strike from NI or whoever, you can always remove the content and you won't be sued or have to pay a fine or anything.
Hi Avidan, I have a question. I am currently working in the iGaming industry, creating sounds and music for online gambling games. I suggested that my company order Native Instruments Komplete 15 Ultimate for the purpose of my work. Do you think I should stick with Native Instruments, or would you recommend something else? I’m grappling with the decision because I want the best tools for composing music from scratch (not using my instruments) and creating sounds, where I plan to combine foley and my synthesis knowledge. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate your help!
Hey Illmo, So I'll say Komplete 15 Ultimate is perfect for what you're trying to do. The sound quality of the instruments is movie quality level. The strings are cinematic, and the pianos are well textured as well. I would only recommend having a strong computer and a lot of memory as Komplete 15 Ultimate has over 1Tb, possibly over 2TB worth of sounds. You can download what's applicable to you, though. Cyber season started, so now is the best time to get Komplete 15 Ultimate at a discounted price for the holiday. Below, I have an affiliate link for you, so whenever you and your company are ready, this link will take you right there. bit.ly/NiCyberSale2024
You can create beats from them, but the EULA agreement allows only to create beats, basically. It does not give permission to go in the direction of sound design by resell because the agreement is for one person use.
I've just emailed NI about this same question about stems. Also music supervisors (For TV/Film) require the stems so I'm wondering about that too. Will post here when they get back to me. :)
I have a maschine question that’s been plaguing me for months. If I open up a demo track, the midi and wav drag/drop icon is there. And that allows me to drag and drop a clip to my desktop or anywhere else. However, when I start a brand new session, the icons are not there…even after I start recording loops. So I don’t have the option to drag/drop a loop, clip or idea I’ve recorded. Why are the icons not there when I start a new track or even after I’ve recorded? And how can I get the drag/drop midi/wav icons to appear? I’ve search blogs, NI website and maschine settings and TH-cam. The icons seem to always be there for everyone else. But they’re not for me when I start a new track. Any idea? Thank you 🙏🏾
I have a Maschine MK3 and when I press the load button I get the Error notice but that only happens when I'm in the instruments section like...Duets, Melted Vibes and etc it I always get error can you help me out on that if you can
Check your EULA agreement to double check, but if you reconstruct showing how that was made you SHOULD be safe since it's a demo and educational breakdown.

I found value in this, u get the like

What about the drums from Native Instruments expanisons ..are they royalty free?
Unfortunately, no.
@@AvidanSmithSo what's the point of buying these sounds?
So if I make a beat with drums from one of the expanisons but make my own melody on those drums, can I sell that beat?
You can create beats from them, but the EULA agreement allows only to create beats, basically. It does not give permission to go in the direction of sound design by resell because the agreement is for one person use.
Yes! You can sell the beat! You can't sell the drum loop you made for that beat if you used their sounds.
Just sub thanks for information 👍💯
Thank you for watching and subscribing!
Stock music sites often demand that stems are delivered with the full track, would that breach the NI rule?
THAT should be okay but I would fact check with an attorney to be safe. Their wording is very weird

You're welcome!!!
Can you recreate the projects/construction loops from the expansion packs and use them in your production or are they only for demo purposes?
Check your EULA agreement to double check, but if you reconstruct showing how that was made you SHOULD be safe since it's a demo and educational breakdown.
ur a boss!
Many beatmakers who create sample packs do illegal job no kidding
Pretty much!

Appreciate you watching!
I wouldn’t mind partnering with both
native instruments and some 3rd party creators.
