You leave out the most important part of the scripture: "7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." HOW DO WE BECOME "VICTORIOUS"??? We cannot and will not become victorious just because we "Say" we accept Christ. There's more to it than that! I truly think the black church failed us because the do not teach people how to become better. Someone sent me this and while it was a nice message and great choice of scripture it was just okay. He barely touched on why people are disenchanted and a lot of that is because of the church. The anointing of a lot of these places have dried up and ppl don't like being there because it just drags them down or doesn't feel relevant. What about those situations? I just don't think you can talk about getting back without talking about overcoming some things - and one of the biggest things is church hurt.
