The new predator movie prey is available in September. Haven't seen it yet but I know it won several awards and there is talk of a sequel with Arnold. If true I can't wait.
It's ok but nothing ground breaking and award worthy. The bar is set far to low in Hollywood. As long as it has a strong, diverse, female lead who is better than a man in every way the actual plot doesn't matter. These women are immediately strong and powerful. No character development, no understanding of their limitations and using a logical way to overcome a stronger and smarter opponent. Nope a 95lb girl can magically throw around 220lb men and 1 punch ko them. The comics story arc of the asian lady that becomes the first human to be accepted into the predators is a fantastic story arc. She trained her entire life life in some martial art. She was afraid and unsure of herself at first and expressed that fear in her thoughts. She was the corporate person in charge of the settlement that was attacked and eventually was forced to leave the barricaded building they were hiding in to get the others because it was responsibility. She clearly knew her limitations and overcame them with resourcefulness and cleverness. They already tried telling her story in that terrible AVP movie but replaced the asian woman with a black woman. The story was horrendous at best but at least she killed aliens logically and used leverage as she clearly wasn't strong enough to stick a spear through a alien. I love the alien series and my favorite story is the woman who became the first human accepted into a clan and they never do that story arc justice. Technically another human was accepted in long before her but died fighting with the predator. Back in the 1800s or something a predator attacked a ship and was killing everyone on board. Naturally aliens attacked and he ended up teaming up with the last survivor of the humans. Its where that flintlock pistol came from you see twice in the movies. The elder gave it to danny at the end of predator then they retconned that and gave it to the girl in prey. They can't help but screw up the comics and novels in movie adaptations.

I want predators to be more agile and flexible. They seem like a jumbleing jaugernaut incapable of killing a slick assassin like aliens but do it well. The body mechanics need a 2024 update

Yes and no, standard are more human like. The other types differ in varying ways, some with Females being bigger and others where they are average.
The yautja use the hunts for a rite of passage into adaulthood. And the more weapons they have the more elite they are. And a legendary hunter whould have anything he/she wants and needs.

If I remember, they don't attack or kill impregnated females as seen in Predator 2 where the predator had female officer dead to rights but backed away because the sensors indicated she had a child in her womb.

The art of hanging your kill up side down is called field dressing. You do that to get rid of all the guts from the inside. it has nothing to do with playing mental games with their prey.

Field dressing is done when you're cleaning a kill and prepping it for storage.
