I want to thank those at the Glendale Police Department who made this happen. I've been trying to get into police departments for years, but it's pretty much impossible with how I shoot and edit (which means there's no outside control reviewing the edit before I post). I know you take a risk with anyone with a camera showing the inner workings of what you do, so thank you for taking this risk with me. And a special thanks to the Police Chief who allowed this all to happen. And if there are any other police departments with something to show and you're okay with me being free range and shooting/editing in my style, please contact me at contact@petersantenello.com Americans need to know more about what's happening on our streets, especially this massive spike in Fentanyl usage that you all have to deal with daily. ► 🎥 More Behind the Scenes Videos: petersantenello.com/ ► 📝 My Free Weekly Newsletter: www.bit.ly/3HC36EH ► 👕 Merch: innercircle.petersantenello.com/collections/all
Hi Peter. I live and own a construction business in Glendale, Az. Thank you for spending your time and efforts to highlight our beautiful city and its challenges on your platform. God Bless all our men and woman of law enforcement and God Bless from all of us in Glendale, Az.
Thanks Peter for making this very informative video. I hope more law enforcement establishments allow you to ride along so we can see the bigger picture.

sadly media has the tendency to over represent the extremes. Most of reality is not as bad as its seen on the screen. A lot of very decent cops out there imho.
Big shout out to the city of Glendale for allowing the filming with the Police Department. They are doing a fabulous job dealing with this epidemic. I thought crack was bad. This is a whole new level of craziness.

@@jasonzwack8342lemme guess you hate the police because you saw a single 25 second long clip of someone being arrested with the caption of "Unjust arrest" or" Police brutality" There needs to be attention to the police that isn't mindless complaining. There isn't enough constructive criticism. Only criminals wanting to get away from punishment. And please, if you had any idea what journalism is you would've watched the video and understood immediately that most journalism is just political bias. But again I'm probably wasting my time and you can barely read a sentence that isn't 12 words long.
@@BeexzI'm glad you admitted it was a guess. You're about as accurate as you can be with what little information you had. Let me give you some more information and see what your diagnosis is then. First of all I don't hate police. I am critical of their actions. I spent two years in jail for something I didn't do. (I know every criminal says that) I'm not going to get into too much detailI put two cops lied committed perjury. Came up with fake evidence had people sign fake stories. Helped the court appointed attorneys husband and wife both trick me into accepting felony charges for something happened while I was 300 mi away. All because I was unaware of the legal system and what cops and lawyers are capable of. I love your response. I'm actually making a video about this very video. It's hard to respond to your comments. No offense scratch that I hope you're offended by this enough so that you look up a journalists job duty above everything else but you're obviously unaware of what journalism is. And you somehow have confused what facts of actual events are and the titles for point of view perspectives on journalistic productions. I'm a firm believer in telling the truth and doing what is right. I don't hate anybody. I agree there needs to be attention to police that isn't mindless complaining or blind dick sucking. Now here's why I am critical of the police. Because they misused the powers granted to them to hurt people. If they're not actively hurting somebody by using force or lying. Then they are neglecting somebody until they are unhelpable. I spent 16 hours listening two police ignore the screams and eventual crying and begging of a dude in the cell next to me to go to medical. The only reason the police went in there, not because of the smell of his dead body, but because they had nowhere to put the food he was supposed to eat. You want to know what the news said about it? "Police officers efforts for life saving medical attention werent enough to save overdosing man". See if police were doing their job correctly there wouldn't be any journalistic or news stories about them acting badly. Anyway this is getting kind of long. I'll read any response you have to this and if you really want to know what's going on with the world and police I'll give you my email or whatever

Every Dept has them. I have a close friend that was on the local PD. One night he pulled a guy over and the driver backed up his car and hit my friend trying to run. Luckily backup had just pulled up and was able to help subdue the driver and my friend was not badly hurt. My friend had every right to jerk the guy out of the car and do a long version of River Dance on his head, but didn't. We were out one night and a guy walked up and started talking to my friend. As the guy walked away he said thank you for not holding a grudge and getting me help. That was when I was told the story of how the two of them met. 99% of officers are tolerant and understanding, but that 1% that is bad is what gets amplified.
Very interesting video. The police chief was so interesting. What a good man. I found the drone operation amazing. That is definitely the future of police work. It will save so many lives. In the war in Ukraine, the Ukraine Armed Forces use so many different types of drones. It is amazing how the use of drones has changed since the war escalated since February 2022.
I grew a large appreciation for Glendale police after a shooting in my apartment complex. The response was so incredibly quick. My 23 year old son is addicted to Fentanyl. Collage student, job, good home, car, raised in a suburban neighborhood. Somehow got addicted & we've tried everything possible to get treatment, help, talks etc.. nothing helps unless he wants to help himself. Sad but true.
@ayo9057 that's one way, a chance is good. I was in a ward with lots of fentanyl, cocaine, meth users. One guy got a stroke from fentanyl and was permanently disfigured. There are some who just go into treatment facilities for the 3 meals and bed, then when they leave back to the drug use. It's heavily on the individual's will and environment. But the wards are good places to get through withdrawals they will give you the right meds and you'll be off the stuff for a while. If it's a good ward lol. Sometimes if the place isn't locked down people are doing drugs while there too.
Yes! I had a flat tire. Not only did the officer change my tire, but he also made sure that I had everything I needed for when I took the tire to get fixed! He was definitely my angel that night. This was in Mesa.
DPS changed my flat tire on the side of the interstate & then directed me to a nearby gas station where he aired up my tire & checked the pressure before he left. Absolutely saved me that day
About 25 years ago I had a good laugh with a cop. I got a flat on SR51. I stopped on the off-ramp, changed it, and as I was getting ready to leave, an officer arrived. I joked "Sure, you show up *after I changed the tire" . He laughed and said "Yeah, I watched you from the other side until you were done so I didn't have to get dirty". Funny thing is that I was going to the tire store to get two new tires. The flat was on one of the tires that I was planning on keeping.
A ride along that gave me hope! It is this type of insights and human experience that has quickly made Peter my favorite person on TH-cam! There's nobody better. The biggest challenge is trying to get through the years of his efforts that I have never seen. Thank you Peter!
Thank you Peter for showing our police force in action. I am so glad the city and people here support the police and the police are trying to help the people.
@@jasonzwack8342 Did you watch the video, showing them being respectful and professional, let alone letting an arrested man tell his story in his cell?
Oh look statist’s worshipping agents of the state because they can’t take accountability for themselves… pitiful. If police were trying to help people they wouldn’t regularly shoot unarmed people, violate everyone’s individual liberties without a second thought, lie on police reports, sell drugs back to the community after confiscating them, run extortion rings, protect rich pdf files from accountability, protect judges from accountability for corruption, protect each other when they mess up, create a homeless problem and then attack people for being homeless, create a drug problem and then go to war against everyone for not being on their side of the blue line in their drug war, wouldn’t grape women in their cruisers on the clock, wouldn’t leave people in their hot police cars to die, have puff-pieces ran for them by people like this “journalist” to repair their image, taze people to death, pad their budgets by creating ordinances that allow them to extract even more wealth from the community, have drugs injected in people against their will, serve no-knock warrants like the British in 1774, constantly protect abusers and incriminate the people that are being abused simply because the abuser made the 911 call, detain people without having committed a crime, and I could go on and on. The point is, it is delusional to think police are doing anything other than protecting the ruling class from accountability and kicking people when they are down to make a dollar. If you support the police still, despite living under tyrannical rule that violates our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, and many other rights… you’ve been brainwashed into the cult of statism.
@@Vortex001_MLGyes, we all saw the puff piece that is designed to make you feel sympathetic towards police. It’s just you were dumb enough to fall for it.

Everyone is so amazing! I couldn’t imagine the number of kind messages, responses, and likes I would get. Truly, thank you! God bless all of you! ❤️
I'm very impressed - both with the Glendale PD and Peter Santenello: the former for being willing to allow Peter with his camera to spend the day with them and so freely and openly talk about the struggles, issues, and also triumphs of their vocations, and the latter for filming in such a respectful way and asking probing questions. This is the journalism you don't see on any major network, PBS, NPR, or any other media format. But you find it on TH-cam.
Police officers, fire fighters (and all first responders) definitely don't get enough credit. Military is tough but we only deploy a hand full of times in the career . . . which is insanely difficult. But these folks do it every day for 20+ years. And they deal with the worst situations 99% of their career. Much respect to all of the first responders.
I think the hardest part about it, is they’re our people at the end of the day. So we can’t force them to do anything and can’t use force. It’s horrible situation
Thumbs down. Please be offended by this. WHT THE FU*K do first responders and Soldiers have in common??? That is a scary statement. Other than cops having military vehicles tell me one similarity about their jobs.. please .. remember about their jobs, not the equipment .. GOLFFERS AND HOCKEY PLAYERS BOTH HAVE STICKS THEY SWING thats not a job similarity.
@@jasonzwack8342 I think @joebruey's comment was about the crazy stuff both military and first responders have to see and then go back and acclimate to normal society. I don't believe his comment was to disparage those that serve(d) in the military or imply one job was above any other.
@@jasonzwack8342I would bet you all that I have that you’ve never had experience with either as a CAREER or a job…military or LE. That’s why you don’t know the answer.
Credit to Peter for getting approval to spend time with Glendale PD. I think the reason they said yes, at least in part, is because he has a reputation for reporting without inserting his bias. Thank you Peter for the inside view. I can't imagine being an officer. They have to have so much tolerance, and compassion to do what they do along with enforcing the law. Officers get a bad rap. I am VERY grateful for them! The cameras and drones are awesome! I'm sure they help solve crime in a BIG way. My thought is, if I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not worried about cameras in public places.
He does insert his bias. He just happens to be a very understanding and compassionate person so his bias is inherently positive and trusting no matter who he speaks with
they don't have tolerence and compassion most times. there is plenty of videos out there. you also can't say you respect them cause it's a dangerous job...it's not like they were forced to do the job. they most likely got it to get power. and if they didnt' the corrupt cops will force you to use power over compassion. my dad was a cop this is just how it is. just like guards in the midevil times corrupt, over powered people who will say anything to make there job sound important. when most times they are ticketing old people for bogus things so they can steal there money with asset forfeiture DONT DEFUND THE POLICE REFORM! THE POLICE .
@@Seanonyoutube Agreed, there is always going to be subtle bias if you talk long enough that is basically impossible for humans to hide. Watching his videos there are things about religion and politics brought up where you can obviously figure out his beliefs but he is always respectful to the other person.
Once again, I come to say "I was here" in an attempt to enter a thoughtful debate about this subject (namely the cameras and the statement of "If I'm doing nothing wrong, I have nothing to fear". But, once again, TH-cam will not allow me to speak. Farewell my friends.
Case and point: Michigan Supreme Court just unanimously decided that evidence can be collected via drone *without a warrant* in LONG LAKE TOWNSHIP v MAXON.
The way Peter conducts himself, goes in with an open mind, gives everyone a fair shot and doesn’t try to trip people up or make them look stupid is probably the big reason he got the access that he did. I always look forward to his videos as they seem to be an unbiased and true representation of what he’s filming
This was by far the best one. Truly shows the depths of drug addiction, how the police there are responding to it and gave a first hand view at ever level. Very well done. That police dept there is doing some great things for its people.
Thank you Peter. You’re the most legit journalist I’ve seen in such a longtime. You tell the story… you let your viewers decide. Nothing but respect for you.
Wow, what an eye opener. The police get a bad rap most of the time but it’s crazy what they have to deal with on a daily basis. It’s bound to get to anyone when dealing with this just on a temporary basis - let alone day in, day out. They all seemed nice and professional and it was great that they allowed the camera in. Keep up the great work Peter. Thanks to all those officers for their service.
We ask the police to do too much and to do things they can't possibly do, then blame them when it inevitably gets worse. Like that poor guy in the beginning. He's schizophrenic and addicted to opiates. What the hell is a cop going to be able to realistically do to help that guy? They're not psychiatrists. Even if they take him to a shelter, those places are so crowded and underfunded he'll be kicked out the next morning to make space for the countless others in need. He's not going to have a job and money to pay for the healthcare he really needs. Who would hire him? No wonder no one want to be a cop besides psychopaths. They're the only ones crazy enough to stick around. People in this country don't want to actually deal with these problems. They just want to push the problem somewhere they can't see. Spending tax money on helping these people off the streets and getting clean is commie talk. But spending even more on cleaning up the mess, more police, and prisons is fine apparently. Sorry to soapbox. This stuff just makes me so sad.
A big shoutout to the Glendale police. I have a whole new respect for you and what you do. Stay safe and thank you Peter for covering their jobs. It’s obviously not easy.
We live in an age where citizens doing this essential and very difficult job are being stigmatised by everyone. They need our thanks and support for keeping everyone safe.
Now THIS….THIS…..is journalism. So happy to read through these comments and see how many support our men and women in blue. They deserve it. They’re the backbone of our communities.
No they aren't! YOU are the backbone of your community. Quit licking the boot and open your eyes. Police don't need de-funded - they need ULTRA funded, so that they can attract honorable, respectable, and oath-keeping officers like this one, and be able to discard the overwhelming number of "bad apples" that make up 90% of LE. The way it is, departments are desperate to hire anyone they can get, and they often don't even look into the background of gypsie cops. LE is a MESS!
I was a firefighter for many years, props to you. That low Batt detector chirp at the restaurant drove me absolutely crazy!!! I'll never be able to wrap my head around the folks that can totally ignore that. That IS a life saving warning!
I appreciate this so much. There’s good and bad cops, but we need to see the good ones that actually care for people and want to help you. This was extremely important to showcase.
As a police dispatcher for a very small jurisdiction I was absolutely salivating at their dispatch center tech! That is state of the art, and really does help. Great work as always
Peter, your videos are far more than entertainment, they are snapshots of life in this country that most of us never get to see. Keep on doing the work, for those of us who are your subscribers, we appreciate you and the great work you do.
I found that smaller drone the officers use to be quite impressive but the real stars of this episode here are these officers. What a stellar bunch that were interviewed here.
Major thanks to the Glendale Police Department and to those officers. I'm a family member of an officer on the other side of the country. We know that these brave officers do good work, and thank you Peter for showing what is REALLY going on, not what the "media" shows us!
100% agreed. I am going through my own struggles and gave the Glendale police dept a call to talk with officer Craig. He was just as empathetic in real life as he was in the video
I met this officer this morning. I was at a girls house at some apartment complex, as I was leaving, I happen to see him. We talked for a few seconds. Absolutely awesome guy! Even got a photo!
I just want to offer encouragement for the officers I have a friend who was on the street from 13-45 he had an officer who always spoke to him and encouraged him to do the right thing. He was saved by Christ and delivered and he couldn’t wait to go back to thank that cop for being so encouraging and always telling him the right thing he said that his encouragement did give him hope to not give up enough to go back to show him he made it out. My friend is almost 20 years sober he volunteers at a rescue mission doing Bible study and he works with his local police to help with intercession with the homeless. He laughed the first time he met with the police it was first time he was sitting with 3 cops and he wasn’t in trouble now they are his friends. Kindness and encouragement don’t really cost us anything but I just want to tell you all don’t be discouraged it does make a difference.
Hey Peter, you are our eyes dude, thank you from the heart. These policemen are saints, SAINTS! your show (yes it is a show now, it is that big and important), shows the real, the situation on the ground. Your attitude, speech, language, approach to other hums is second to none.

I've lived here since a baby. I'm 32. I've seen a lot even in my years of being here. Used to be a heroin addict, crack addict, shoot, an everything addict, I got clean when fentanyl hit the streets. Thank God. 5 years strong and clean at 32 feels better than anything that happens these days on these streets. God bless the broken souls out there. Stay hydrated 😅.
Going on 2 decades in AZ. Moved here as a young adult. Some of the things I've seen here are things I never expected to see. I've dealt with things I never expected to deal with. Fights with drunken taxi passengers. Have been involved in more than a couple hit and run incidents. I've had people flash guns at me on the road and had someone actually try to run me off the road one time. What takes the cake was the time I met three of the very wrong sort of people at a bar. They put a tracker on my car and followed me home. They then attempted a home invasion. 'Attempted' being the operative word. Who would have thought a bunch of tweakers would overestimate their fighting abilities, lol. I've tried all the drugs but nothing really stuck. Some people just aren't very susceptible to psychological addiction and withdrawal isn't that bad. People who can't handle opioid withdrawal simply have a low tolerance for pain. I've been dealing with chronic orthopedic pain for most of my life. Some nerve pain too. These days, the strongest thing I take is cannabis and kratom. I have to go well out of my way to get high on either and they relieve most of my pain. I'd never go back on percocet long term again unless I were terminally ill. Sounds like fentanyl straight up scared you sober, and rightfully so. Hey, whatever works. About to get even worse; nitizenes are about to blow up in the US and they make fentanyl look like codeine.

I just want to shout out the Medic's and EMT's in Des Moines, IA. I am 36 years old. I had to call the ambulance on myself three weeks ago from today for pancreatitis and swollen liver from excessive heat and alcohol withdrawal. They responded in 3 minutes 54 seconds. Came into my house where I was laying on the ground, dying. They scooped me up. Put me on the bed and rolled me out. Six days later I was out of the hospital. Today I am as good as new and three weeks sober. Thank you officers and medic's for saving my life and giving me another chance!!
Just FYI: Apostrophes weren’t supposed to be used in _ANY_ of the three instances you used them in. You should probably brush up on when to use apostrophes, and when not to. It’s never a bad thing to write English properly, right? :) Good luck on your sobriety. My significant other nearly died a year ago from drinking beer for 30 years. He, too, had to quit permanently with his hospital trip, and just celebrated a year of sobriety. In that 2 week hospital stay, he was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and neuropathy that killed his bladder muscles, so he has to self-catheterize multiple times a day to get his urine out. Alcohol sure can affect a variety of organs. Surprisingly, his liver was in decent shape. He’s also had to drastically change his diet by becoming vegan and cutting out some additional foods on top of that because of his kidney disease. He was a huge meat lover before. He had to give up vaping too. The only vices he has left is gaming and vegan sweets!

This is the BEST video I’ve seen on policing. Glendale is managed well and looks like funded well too. Thank you Peter for a great video. Thanks to the best behaved police department I’ve ever learned about. Officers stay safe and continue on the path you’re going down.
I was just watching a 1a auditor video with a bunch of retaliatory tickets issued, full complicity of the Sergeant, smirks...having seen so many of those, it certainly appears to be a kind of gangrene within departments and I am not surprised to hear about the hiring struggles. Going to give these guys the benefit of doubt as they seem to bring a lot to the table for their community, including the gesture of opening their doors to Peter which is a big deal. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
Wow! I am a longtime Glendale resident and loved seeing this. Huge thanks to Officer Ellis and his fellow officers for giving us a closeup on how they protect and serve in our neighborhood and the support they get from our City officials very impressive. God Bless them. TY Peter, big fan here oh and will try Senor Pollo for sure.
This is the stuff we need to see - mad respect to all the cops who not only have to deal with the silent war of Fentanyl but also work in this freaking heat!
Never seen a more eloquent or compassionate cop than Officer Ellis. His mention of “the definition of insanity” really opened my eyes to their daily reality.
Thanks for having the guts to do a ride along like this, Peter. God bless these men who put their lives on the line to protect us. I know they're not all perfect. They're human. But I truly believe most are doing the best they can, and society needs them more than ever.
As a former resident of Glendale, and as someone that frequently is in Glendale...this is exactly the experience I've had with Glendale officers. Professionals, compassionate and 100% ready to do what is needed to arrest or help as the situation dictates. God Bless all the Glendale officers!
Opening their doors for the public to see ,I salute 🫡🫡 them ,,I even wanna move to Glendale just to have police like that..protecting my community. God bless them
You don’t want to move to Glendale lol. 90% of it is straight up hood and so are the areas of PHX that it borders namely Maryvale. Many better options in the valley…unless of course you enjoy living in the hood in which case go for it.

Peter, I am such a fan of your work. Thank you for helping people be seen, heard, and understood. When I have watched other documentaries trying to do what you are doing, they end up exploiting them. You are a good human!
I live in Mesa, AZ and I learned a lot from this video. I always thought Glendale Police had a bad reputation because of a couple of well publicized shooting incidents. Actually I see cops here that care about their community and are trying to make a difference. Well done!!
Glendale police are as corrupt and evil as cops everywhere else. The literally just got indicted last week for regularly destroying evidence in felony cases. If you are not aware of how bad and corrupt policing is in the states you aren't just failing to pay attention. You are burying your head to avoid seeing it.
I'm impressed by the understanding of this officer with Glendale PD. He demonstrates education around the perspective and struggles of mentally ill, addicted, and homeless people
There's no other way to say it but this job is HARD! Major Kudos to the officers who have to work in 105 degree heat keeping the community in check and safe 24/7. Thank you Glendale!
WoW! Thank you Glendale Police Dept. for your time and giving us the opportunity to go on virtual ride alongs and tour inside police department. You all have ❤! Thank you Peter for bringing another community with an unbiased lens! Have a positive day!😊
Shout out to these police officers who are trying help these addicts. I was an addict and heard a cop once say junkies are our job security. These police officers want to help and share recourses available to them! Kudos this is very uplifting

And if there are any other police departments with something to show and you're okay with me being free range and shooting/editing in my style, please contact me at contact@petersantenello.com
Americans need to know more about what's happening on our streets, especially this massive spike in Fentanyl usage that you all have to deal with daily.

@@jasonzwack8342lemme guess you hate the police because you saw a single 25 second long clip of someone being arrested with the caption of "Unjust arrest" or" Police brutality"
There needs to be attention to the police that isn't mindless complaining.
DPS changed my flat tire on the side of the interstate & then directed me to a nearby gas station where he aired up my tire & checked the pressure before he left. Absolutely saved me that day
Must have been a woman, they wouldn't do that for a man.

Police officers, fire fighters (and all first responders) definitely don't get enough credit.
@@Seanonyoutube Agreed, there is always going to be subtle bias if you talk long enough that is basically impossible for humans to hide. The way Peter conducts himself, goes in with an open mind, gives everyone a fair shot and doesn’t try to trip people up or make them look stupid is probably the big reason he got the access that he did. I always look forward to his videos as they seem to be an unbiased and true representation of what he’s filming
The AMERICAN DAD.
And why his channel exploded so quickly. People are tired of biased "news", and want on the street unbiased journalism again.

This was by far the best one. Truly shows the depths of drug addiction, how the police there are responding to it and gave a first hand view at ever level. Very well done. That police dept there is doing some great things for its people.
The officers from Glendale PD were well spoken, professional and incredibly insightful.

Yeah, after 10 minutes of editing. It's very common for cops to change reports and lie in court too...but that's a different video.

Wow, hats off to Glendale PD for allowing Peter a look at the city.

Peter, I just want to say man, as a firefighter, this video just made my day, much love for the guys in blue, thank you!!!
Best documenter on TH-cam. Always giving the public the POV from the perspective of those who work the streets.

Yeah. More empathy and compassion in general would be great.

Awesome :D Greetings from Germany ;)
Very well said ❤

I've lived here since a baby. I'm 32. I've seen a lot even in my years of being here. Used to be a heroin addict, crack addict, shoot, an everything addict, I got clean when fentanyl hit the streets. Thank God. 5 years strong and clean at 32 feels better than anything that happens these days on these streets. God bless the broken souls out there. Stay hydrated 😅.
🙏❤️

So proud of you for being 3 weeks sober!
Head what happened in Urbandale.
Stay safe!
What did they do about your swollen liver? Good luck on your recovery
Just FYI: Apostrophes weren’t supposed to be used in _ANY_ of the three instances you used them in. You should probably brush up on when to use apostrophes, and when not to. It’s never a bad thing to write English properly, right? :)
Good luck on your sobriety.
