“He’s probably a self made millionaire” 😂definitely your also making me want a Nutella crepe, “if the chandelier from phantom had a baby with a piñata this is what you would get!”😂😂😂😂exciting to get your star rating on the poster!
Fantastic Part 2 .. Fringe coverage is second to none. Feel the fun, fatigue and joy of the experience through your vlog. Also enjoyed your Instagram reviews on the shows you’ve seen - a marathon effort and throughly appreciated and enjoyed. Thank you.
Having just got home from my second visit to the fringe (I also went last year), I can confirm that being at the Edinburgh fringe is one of the most incredible experiences a theatre lover can have. That being said, fringe fatigue is real - by my final day (day 4) I was ready to never set foot in a theatre again… God knows that I’ll be back and ready to do it all again in 2024 though
As an Edinburgh resident I have really enjoyed hearing your tips and reviews for the Fringe. I went to Kathy and Stella last night based on your recommendation and loved it, so thank you for all you do!
Hey, just wanted to say thank you so much for two fab vlogs of the Edinburgh Fringe. I really want to go now!! Thanks for all your hard work and taking us along with you on your adventures. 👍😀👍
30 shows is such an impressive amount to go to in such a short space of time 🎉 no wonder you were exhausted by the end! We saw 13 shows (and we’re off to see another 4 next week). We genuinely enjoyed every single one we went to, so it has been a really good year 🙌🏻 I think the highlights for me were Public the Musical, Bloody Elle, Kathy & Stella, Sh!tfaced Shakespeare and Austentatious 🥰
I think I am as exhausted as you were! You are amazing to have seen 30 shows in 5 days AND you had a cold! You are so dedicated, we love you and Aeron! Your food quest are almost as fun as going to the theatres! So exciting to see "4 stars by Mickey Jo Theatre" on that poster!!😍👍🥰
Oh, I could hear that cold muscling into your voice at the end! Well done on surviving another Fringe. My favourite show so far has been 'Burning Down The Horse'. Just a really nice bit of fun, set inside the wooden horse at the gates of Troy. Original, endearing and very funny!
Mickey Jo-thanks for sharing your Fringe experience! I also appreciate you mentioning the drag protests.. I have friends who are drag performers and it breaks my heart that this has become a focus of hatred recently. I live in the American South so this is an all too awful reality.
Sorry you missed Tupiniquim GF crepes at Fringe. Just round the corner from Bristo Sq and run by the most lovely people. Also.. they now do pizza as well..
Do you guys know about the permanent, GF, pancake hut at the top off Lauriston Place, near Doctors pub. Called Tupiniquim and very awesome. We were along the row from you at Kathy&Stella but didn’t get chance to thank you for all your fringes nominations… so THANK YOU 🙏❤
I don’t know if you will reply, but 1. I’m totally OBSESSED with your videos 2. Do you have any tips as a theatre reviewer? I am a blogger ( who reviews theatre) and I was wondering how you make the review so amazing- making your audience binge your (amazing) videos
Got back from the fringe two days ago and I have three fav shows. My absoulte fav has to be the importance of being... earnest? This is one of the funniest shows i have seen in years. Like it play that goes wrong just better. Then I also loved I wish my life were like a musical cos I felt it was a show that was aimed at the theatre kids and made fun of all the sterotypes. And potty the plant is also now one of my fav musicals of all time cos it is just hilarious throughout with surprinsingly good songs. Also shout outs to grand old opera house hotel (not what I expected but was so funny my mum was crying) and showstopper.
Having just returned from a week at the Fringe I really enjoyed watching these 2 videos of you and Aeron dashing around the streets of Edinburgh. Funny how some cobbled routes get really familiar after just a few days as you constantly zig zag between venues. However, on occasion I found myself thinking why have you gone that way when there is a better cut through with bonus clean and underused toilets en route. Why is it that when you have timetabled a fairly quick dash between shows at different venues, that is the one time you can guarantee that the first show over runs? I now know it is just possible to get from Summerhall to Pleasance Courtyard in 13 mins. Interesting to hear some background to your excellent radio appearance, and then later see your joy at spotting one of your reviews used on a poster. Apropos of nothing, one evening at the Patter Hoose, I happened across a certain older theatre critic who apparently thinks upstart young online reviewers are only in it for the free tickets. My attention was drawn as they were loudly berating the front of house staff over the apparent failure to provide a ticket to their satisfaction, and then angrily pointing to the show poster and saying "look, I'm even quoted on the show poster"...
We’ve just got home from 2 and a half days at the fringe - not surprised you struggled with 5 days. Hope you’ve got over your cold. A recommendation of a musical - Apple of my eye - based on the life of Steve Jobs - amazing, by the team behind the Alan Turing Musical too - 100% recommend
i scanned your ticket at kathy and stella (i work front of house at underbelly george square) but didn’t want to say anything cause i was technically working
Selfishly when you were at the Cow i was trying to spot my mates show "Alphabet Of Awesome", i was also hoping you would see my other mates show "A Migrants Son" at the venue House Of Oz. Never enough time for all the shows - the crepe looked so yummy!
Regarding being on live radio -- I am in the online content biz (these days it's podcasts, not video for the most part), and once a week I have a radio call with a station that's far enough away from me that I can't even tune into it. Most of the the interview is pre-recorded, which is pretty easy. But every now and again, they call me to do a segment live. I've been doing this for a few years now, since before the pandemic, and it STILL gets my stomach in knots.

awesome adventure,loved it
Achievement unlocked: getting a shoutout in a vlog, so glad our schedules worked out so well during your trip 🎉
It looked like a fun and exhausting few days. Also, a prequel to the Q and A of last week when you looked wrung out.

Videographing Sweeney Todd amused me greatly.

That looks exhausting but super fun! I hope you got some gluten free pizza for Aerons birthday.
