Hats off to you Baz, some people would just do the work they've been asked to and not worry about anything else. 🤙 Can't belive they didn't notice a difference in the the breaks in the state they were in.
Well done Baz , didn’t realise not using Aircon caused more issues . Thanks for tip 👍. Said before , how you keep calm especially with the NOISYAROONY all around , is bloody amazing. Definitely think it’s the Welsh 🏴genes . 👍😁
Have a great weekend Baz, thanks for the videos they're brilliant. Absolutely agree on the AC the more use the better, good to keep the circulation going and not let the seals dry out, if you don't use it you loose it😊, I was surprised by no backing plates on the brakes, and yes a stupid design on the rear discs 👍
Makes you wonder the state that car is in , is the owner willing to pay the repair bill , I do hope so Baz after you quoted them , people need to understand that if you skimp on maintenance & service , you’ll pay dearly afterwards & like some state is that the original oil filter (& oil ? ) not good but another great vid Baz , again please do keep em coming buddy no matter what make & model it is 👏👍👌🤝🍺
It still shocks me people drive around in cars with conditions like this. I get it (sort of), from a financial perspective, but what price can you put on your OWN safety? Those brakes were ridiculous. Great stuff, Baz, kudos for identifying and sorting it out.
Great work! That car has never seen any maintenance has it, its the kind imof car you see for sale " well cared for" yea right ...The customer Must have felt a vibration through the foot panel when braking. How many more cars are out there in a similar condition? Thanks for taking the time to make the videos .
Great job and one helluva lot better than when it first arrived. Looking forward to a video on the BMW X2 . Just booked my X1 in today to BMW as it's under 3 years old . Major service and 1st MOT on a 2.0d X drive. Be interesting to see what you do.
I had the same problem with the brakes (Peugeot 3008). The car had been parked for too long before it was used and moved. I had the garage fit new discs and pads at the rear and only new pads at the front. The pads are from EBC, green stuff, brake better and the disks have been nice and shiny again since then. It's a bit more expensive, but it's definitely worth it. But the problem with the oil filter is due to a maintenance backlog. It is better to change the oil once a year than the prescribed 15000 mi.
Done a couple of these ac compressors on them now, very poorly maintained vehicle i would love to see the condition of that wet belt and as for the silly locking wheel nuts i hate them i always crack them on the floor with a bar but a great video baz 👍
The state of those brakes ! Surely they haven't got that bad since the last mot ? Definitely not a very well maintained vehicle. Hope you had a stress free weekend, you deserve it 👍
I once knew of somebody that had a brand new car, he just drove it and drove it, added no oil etc, eventually the engine seized up, through lack of oil, some people have no idea how to look after a car!!
Another alarming video of how people totally ignore maintenance on a vehicle! It’s not only on the budget end either, top marques are driven without maintenance too. I was wondering if the pistons in the callipers would be seized ? I used to love Vauxhalls, my wife had 2 Corsas, I had 2 cavaliers, a Carlton and an Omega as company cars which were driven to 100k miles with very little bother. I agree with some of the other comments that you should limit the videos to 3 per week to give you some downtime. Cheers Buddy 😡🇬🇧😎
Credit to the industry there Baz. Yes you are right in not trying to make work but that oil filter and brakes were dangerous and had to make the customer aware. How did that get passed its last MOT.
I'm only a DIYer, but I changed a lot of disc brakes over the years and I've never seen discs that bad on a 6-year old car with just 30,000 on the clock. Also never seen a canister oil filter that rusty - I can only assume it's the original - or the roads in your area are knee deep in salt. 😯
Did you check the wetbelt? I bet it would fail the test if that ws the original oil and filter. Love doing these wetbelt on the turbo and non turbo. So easy to work on.
Hi mate, as much as you love making the videos and we love watching them ! Please take time for yourself mate. Maybe look at getting your own spot and setting it up around your content, sponsorship wont be an issue for you and that could offer some more flexibility in working hours etc. Anyway, thanks for the videos mate.
Looks like a 1.2 puretech? Judging by the state of that oil filter, it hasn't been changed in a very, VERY long time. That customer is going to be wondering why the engine ingested the cambelt in a few years...
Was that oil filter the original from factory? That vehicle has been neglected to the extreme. I can't believe the sliding pins moved. Isn't it a shame they drive their car without any though until it literally cries for help.
My money is on that car has been brought brand new insured taxed and refuelled and mot after 3 years nothing more and the owner is probably outraged at having to spend any further money on it. That won’t have another oil change for a good 5 years
Damn. What a sorry state that vehicle was in. We have all been there when the customer will get their air con fixed but not pay for basic maintenance like oil and brakes. At least in this case you were able to do a proper job.
How long has the oil filter been on to get in that condition, and those disc surfaces were terrible, never seen them like that it must have been feeding vibration back through the pedal surely.
Frightening how some drivers let their cars go to ruin. That car is a large investment. Imagine buying one second hand owned by such a waster. Good to see how efficient you work
Those 3 cylinder engines sound broken before they actually are broken and with the lack of maintenance that car has had, it won’t be long before it’s back.
That car has clearly been driven until it's failed. Look at that rusty oil filter, that's not been changed in years. I'd wager the filters are all black and clogged as well as the oil being like water.
Why did engine sound so tappety even when pump removed or is it just the microphone making everything alot louder? The state of the discs suggest (apart from poss quality issues) that the car has been stood for long periods and very short journeys done over its life.Having the bearings replaced as part of the discs is laughable, even so they should still be made to come out as they must have been assembled together at some point!
I saw the oil filter straight away and thought What !?, i knew you'd be on it, and with all the other stuff too, another satisfied customer
One seriously neglected car there.Well done for sorting it out Baz.
The aircon pump just saved the engine. it sacrificed itself for the team.
Hats off to you Baz, some people would just do the work they've been asked to and not worry about anything else. 🤙

Sounds like a old cummins diesel that! 😂

First thought : another wet belt 😂, oh no, its the ac making noise 😊. Nice videos all the time 👌
Don’t worry…. It I’ll get there soon. 😂
I enjoy watching! Thanks
Excellent job Baz! Shame the car has been neglected for such low mileage ..

Poorly maintained?
Nope - never been maintained!
How to turn small jobs, into expensive big jobs!
How did that pass an MOT with those discs !!
Brilliant video as always Baz. Love watching your content mate. Keep it up.👍
@@markwatson4238 cheers buddy
All your efforts are greatly appreciated Baz. You are an inspiration, thank you. 😇
i waited till the end but bloody hell that oil filter 😎
Nice turnaround Baz. To be honest, if I had one of those I wouldn’t service it either…..dismal cars 😂

That's one well looked after car! LOL! 😂 Looks like the start of the Stellantis rot setting in with rear integral disc/hubs, mings!
It’s PSA that one. I used to have a ‘09 Peugeot 207 which had that too.
Great Job. Keep up the good work......
Nice one Baz would like to see the service on your own car 🔧👏💪
top.job as usual mate. those rear discs were diabolical

Thats unreal, great vid as always
When i did air con at a Jaguar main dealer in the late 80s you
Had to measure the gas and oil out manually
discs were in a right state ! Nice work 👌
Cheers buddy 🤙
With that neglect i wonder what state the timing belt is in

Has that filter ever been changed in 33K ?😯😯😯😯
Maybe worth pointing out to customer that oil is cheaper than a new engine.
Whats happened to the backplates / splash guards ?
I'm only a DIYer, but I changed a lot of disc brakes over the years and I've never seen discs that bad on a 6-year old car with just 30,000 on the clock. Also never seen a canister oil filter that rusty - I can only assume it's the original - or the roads in your area are knee deep in salt. 😯

Think it would be wise to sell it before other issues(engine for one) start to empty his wallet!
Great video.
Baz great video’s mate
You need a break sometimes. Very interesting and thorough instruction in all that you take on.
Was there room in the budget for a brake fluid change while the wheels were off : ) sort of job you want on a Monday not Friday 👍
Baz fantastic job and so professional, you smashed it 💪❤️👊
Was that oil filter the original from factory? That vehicle has been neglected to the extreme. I can't believe the sliding pins moved.
Isn't it a shame they drive their car without any though until it literally cries for help.
Yes looked liked the original oil filter
Really appreciate you content Baz, maybe give yourself a rest on the wet belts you've already done those to death
looks like a highly maintained car... brand new oil filter there lol
That oil filter is just screaming to high hell
great video Baz who builds rear discs with bearings in them shocking need to check my wifes grandland if the same
They have been on the fence stuff for years buddy
Hang in there Baz we enjoy your videos but do take a break if you need one, no point killing yourself for content.
Oh deary me! what a state.
Daily vlogs with all your jobs would be crazy
Great content, perhaps do what the Salvage Rebuilds UK lads did, a video 3 times a week, to give yourself some rest !
Ye I know, I'm just used to making them I get so much satisfaction out of it and being able to interact with everyone it's insane... It's addictive

Auto air compressor - luckily very local to me!
So what is your 'own personal vehicle '?
@@paulhealey2984 BMW f39 m sport
Relief for the owner he probably thought he needed a engine
Won’t be long until it does servicing it once every 30k miles
Even though the car is out of warranty the ac compressor should be covered by some kind of manufacture defect clain at such low milage.
How long has the oil filter been on to get in that condition, and those disc surfaces were terrible, never seen them like that it must have been feeding vibration back through the pedal surely.
Locking wheel nuts in these days are a waste of money and time!
So much easier just to take the car 😂
Was hoping you were going to be doing the wet belt on that!
I might be yet
Frightening how some drivers let their cars go to ruin. That car is a large investment. Imagine buying one second hand owned by such a waster. Good to see how efficient you work
A rusty oil filter ffs. Been there since new Baz!!
So why did the AC pump go with such a low mileage? Thanks
I'm very surprised that no oil pressure light came on the dash It obviously sounds like there's no pressure at all
Those 3 cylinder engines sound broken before they actually are broken and with the lack of maintenance that car has had, it won’t be long before it’s back.
Another great vid. You need to have some time to yourself as daily vids are good but a lot of work.
Tupis 3 zylinder schroot like polo
Sounds like a T34 tank.
opel/vauxhall were much better under GM, at least the car components didn't rott in a few winters
Yes it's a disgrace that these cars have had the Vauxhall badges attached to them in the first place.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I've got a Grandland X with those stupid locking bolts, what a stupid design! Wtf were they thinking putting them on! 😂
Is that a wet belt engine. If so I dread to think what state the belt will be in.🤦♂️
that bill will be more than the cars worth
Are you originally from Merseyside or Wirral or Wrexham area Baz. I'm getting a slight Scouse accent from you?
That's the smallest sump I've ever seen!
What size engine is in it Baz?
1.0l

How can owners drive a car in that state - they must have noted surely? Well done to you at least we have a safer car on the road.
How does anyone let their vehicle get that bad?
Such state att 33K , its a shame
The miles are in miles...but the temp is in Celsius?? Weird
i see you didnt change the brake fluid
No I know, it's all down to affordability
Well done great job aruney Ithink ben needs some lessons in manners

Peugeot engine in a Vauxhall 😩
They own Vauxhall

jesus has anyone looked after it!!!!...horrendous those brakes
Same rear brake disc design as the ds3s bearing integrated in with the disc 👎
Yep, vauxhalls are just rebadged PSA cars now.
Wow one of worst maintained cars have seen also proper dangerous with those brakes
Shit oil. On kompresor only bearing replace, without gas remowe
typical crap vauxhall
