    Just smoked my first lobelia cigarette this evening. Very impressed, its about the same as tobacco but slightly different in effect (more body, less light-headed). Just dried the leaves and smoked them, very simple. None of the vomiting effects when smoked (definitely when ingested though. The second it hits your tongue.)
    Thanks for the post!

    From "Narrative of the Life of Samuel Thompson" ... he states, " ... after I was four years old (1773), being our in the fields in search of the cows, I discovered a plant which had a singular branch, and pods that I never seen before. I had the curiosity to pick some of the pods and chew them. The taste and operation produced was so remarkable that I never forgot it. Afterwards, I used to induce other boys to chew it, merely by way of sport, to see them vomit. I tried this herb in this way for nearly twenty years, without knowing of its medicinal virtues.
    I had at that time (8 years old) a very good knowledge of the principal roots and herbs to be found in that part of the country..."
    Wow!

    Lobelia is a blue flower that has been used for centuries in Eastern medicine. It is colloquially known as Indian tobacco and is one of the best herbs to help curb smoking cravings. The active component of lobelia is called lobeline and this compound is known to have a similar effect on the body as nicotine

      Yes, anything in huge amounts is dangerous. Even water - a young woman died in water drinking contest a while ago. I am reading John Lust herbal book and he writes, that rosemary can be fatal in big amounts...I think, when people say this, they have to give more details in terms of amounts. Does he mean a teaspoon, a tablespoon, a cup or a bucket, LOL.

      One indicator wether you might also have silent reflux is that when you notice when you have problems breathing in (not out), thats a sign of (silent) reflux.

      Thats really good to hear. All of my breathing problems are always to breath in and never out actually. Okay - i will also try to stop eating some hours bfore sleeping and the other things u wrote such as tomato, choclate etc. I feel my asthma is always about breathing in which is difficult never out.

    • @Viv8ldi
      @Viv8ldi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jimmysheikh6258 that really sounds like silent reflux.
      REally try it, even the first day you should notice: Stop eating 2-3 Hours before bed and - and this is the part I forgot - the first week I didnt just gurle, I drank the soda water, but the first week I used 400mg of soda in a glas of water, I gurgled with it and I drank it, in the morning and the evning. 400mg is okay, people often take more, but you have to be careful because if you do it to long or if you take too much, your body produces again more acid to fight the calming effects of the baking soda. I already felt improvment the first day after drinking the 400mg of baking soda. Look up Dr. Jamie Koufmann, she also recommends to buy and drink alkaline water, but itss very expensive, you can prepare your own .

      @@Triple_Moon_Goddess fresh herb smoothie. It may had been 3 grams. The deep blue variant. Whole plant with stems and flowers. I had to chop a similar handful and weigh it to get an idea. My swallowing was impaired. It fkd me for more than a week. When I smoked tobacco (which I did anyway) I felt much worse.

    • @gundog4273
      @gundog4273 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      2grams even if fresh herb is a fat dose. Cups of tea are made with teaspoons which is typically dry herb but still. I wouldn't recommend working with fresh herb on something that strong. You're dosing is bound to be inconsistent.
      It's not unsafe, it's strong. Some people can handle a 12gauge just fine. Some people are better off with a .22.
