Who did that punk rock cover of "Yesterday"? I assumed it was Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. But I can't find it anywhere. Besides, it doesn't really sound like Spike's voice. It does have that Fat Wreck Chords sound though, especially in the harmonies.
i was just going back into the rabbit hole and looking at some GK stuff, especially the legacy amp. Jayme you're surely reading my minds to upload this video a few hour later. i still prefer the legacy, doesn't have the tube pre but its cheaper and simpler to use. the only issue with the legacy is that it doesn't have the high cut switch that the fusion have. over the years i've become quite accustomed to the VLE filter of markbass amp, really handy when you switch from fusion/funk to motown/swing and need to quicky get a deep "double bass" like sound.
Need an honest opinion please: My early 1980's GK800RB (through 4x10 and 2x10 Hartke - Will Lee's rig). it was the best amp I ever ran. Currently running either a Genzler MG800 or EA iAMP Classic (Lee Sklar's recommendation) and they are pushing either Genzler stack (BA 15-3 under a 210 cab), or Barefaced Six10T, or twin stacked Barefaced BB3s. I have a couple of Spector NS-2 and more than a few Ps and EMBB Darkray, so i know what the basses you are using sound like. My current workhorses are Sadowsky NYC 4-24s... So, the questions: Their Legacy seems to sound very much like the old GK800RB, whereas the Fusion seems to offer all the 800RB does but with a touch of that SVT growl when pushed? Does the Fusion have that same bottom end punch and fullness we love from GK? And the trim, on setup did you let it fully clip then back off just behind the point of breakup? Last, correct me if wrong, the old 800 RB push buttons for contour, low cut, and high boost are now incorporated into the knobs? Thx.
WOW JAYME VERY NICE I WISH I COULD PLAY THAT BASS I PRAY YOU HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR IT MAY BE OUR LAST THE WAY BIDEN IS RUINING THIS COUNRY GOD BLESS
Awesome demo, jayme 😎🤘🏻🎸 I’m a long time gk player and this bass amp sounds phenomenal
You can press the first trim control to get a completely different voicing, gives a more modern sound from memory.
Killer tone 4 real my friend!!🎸

Love GK. Even though discontinued, my 2012 era GK MB500 head is still good!

Hope you can make one with the GK PLEX
I have the older model the MBFusion it’s a fantastic amp however I really should upgrade to this model!
DONT.... I tried and was disappointed. They sound NOTHING alike...
Good to know! The Fusion was my main amp for many years and fits so nice in my gig bag. However I would like to grab the new one just to try it.
Hell yah❤❤❤
Are there full versions of the songs you are playing?
Why does real amps get such high fidelity treble when the amp sims dont? It always ends up sounding stabby and harsh
Which amp sims are you using? Also, IR's have a lot to do with the sound
WOW JAYME VERY NICE I WISH I COULD PLAY THAT BASS
