Congrats 👏 I didn't read the entire title, so I assumed you were bringing it to someone who bought it. So, you got me. Fooled and flabbergasted all at once. Congrats again, my friend, and I think it's one of nicest days (no rain) you took home a new ride. She's a keeper. 😊
The only disappointment is that you didn't catch a train on the way home. Nice that it wasn't freezing like with the RE's. New bike day is always special. Enjoy.!! 👍👍👍
Great!! I’ve been watching your videos for years. Excited to see what you do with your PAS. I have the 2024 in Alpine Green. I sold my 17 Ultra Classic and picked up the PanAm.
First of all Congrats for the shiny new Pan America!! On the other hand I must admit that I liked the Road King best of all your bikes…. (since I own a 107 2021 Heritage). But I see the circumstances. But I like the PA a little more cause you bought one and we all know you as a motorhead:-) And that was really an absolutely stunning autumn-ride back home. incredible good weather!! How I miss those colorful trees in MI!! (And I’m in Europe for too long, -> autumn-ride). 😂 So all the best to both of you! And we look forward to some great colorful fall rides in the northwest with the Pan America 🇺🇸😎🍀👍
Sean, you surprised me again! Welcome to the Pan America family. You can set up a custom ride mode and change suspension, abs, engine breaking, adjustable ride height, engine power map, and throttle mapping settings. The cornering light cones on when you lean while underway. The ride gets even more plush when loaded for a trip. Oh, and yes, it has a tender lead under the seat. You can route it out the left side.
Wow didn’t see that one coming…Smoak owning a high tech, water cooled bike 😂😂😂. Love the color and boy it is a looker for sure. Looking forward to lots of videos. Have a great and enjoy that new bike feeling. 👍
The billiard gray is the base color for ‘24. I’m liking the ride on my Triumph Tiger, sitting up high and being able to see over cars ahead. Each of my bikes have a different “vibe” when I ride them. Can’t wait to see your adventures on this new one. Congratulations
You know ain’t NOTHING like your own. Then THEY can kiss you where the sun DON’T shine. Lol. Nice looking bike. It’s definitely YOU!!! And besides, YOU’RE GROWN. Explanations are not necessary. If you are happy, CASE CLOSED. Nuff said. Stay safe and enjoy yourself 👍🏽😎
Congratulations Shawn! Awesome bike and color choice! The laces wheels are a must. I'm thinking of getting one too, along with my RG limited. We only live once! I really feel that, unlike a car, we all have a window to ride. Enjoy your new bike.
Hey, nice trade. I did the same thing to get my Classic. Speaking of the Classic...mine came with the windshield and I love it. It keeps the wind off your chest and makes for crazy calm riding pocket. It helps as the weather starts to turn cooler. Enjoy the new Pan-Am.
Sweet. Glad you got one. Says a lot about the bike, I’d never have thought you would get one. Really nice ride and the longer footage was really nice. OMG you guys have great scenery! Great video as always! Be well Smoaks!
You were a big influence on me buying a Street Glide about 5 years ago. I’ve riden the Pan Am demo bike the last 3 years at the Milwaukee Homecoming and I agree with every lovely detail you brought up in this video. Except the pegs, I wish they were forward just a little more, it would be easier to stand up and ride. I feel I am leaning forward to much while standing. Other than that it’s absolutely perfect. There may be one in my future… enjoy the bike!
Congrats on new bike👍🏻have my ultra limited for two up and long road trips. Got 2017 gsa for local shorter trips I thought, but took it all way to Manitoba and back. Was great 🤓😎🏍💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦. Seem to ride it more than the hog. Good thing no valve adjustment like beamer
Wow, great bike! Congrats Shawn! Now might be a great time to explain how you best break in a new bike. I've always wondered how you do it! Would love if you could do a video on the tips and tricks you thinknis best. Thanks and congratulations!
Sweet Pan American Shawn, but you did surprise me. 😄 As to a name, as a first thought, since you had a lovely fall ride, why not consider Autumn as a name? Just first thought. God bless, Rob
Not what I expected you to replace the Road King with! Congrats and hope you get many miles of enjoyment from it. I test rode the first year model but ended up buying an s1000XR which I still have. That said I was super impressed with the Pan America and had it been out for several years and all the new model bugs worked out I would have bought it instead of the XR. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it over the coming months.
Still never ceases to amaze me that with all of the discounts that you get when buying a BMW that you don’t just get the GSA. Rode the PanAm and it is nice, and I definitely like it better than the new 1300 GS / GSA (BMW F’d them up). Anyway, enjoy the PanAm.
That’s funny I’m going the other way 😂😂 from sport tourer to a cruiser. Bought a 2016 Indian chieftain, and loving the riding position low down feet forward. I got the 4 bikes in the garage a 2017 Triumph Trophy SE, 2016 Indian Chieftain, 2022 T120 Bonneville and a 2009 Aprilia Mana.
Wow! What a surprise. Congratulations Shawn! I have a 2016 Road King Standard in Billet Silver with the factory hand painted pin striping. The Pan America Special has caught my eye since it came out. Now you have me wanting one. I guess I will need to ride over to the Harley dealer and test ride one. Also, I agree with you about how it is somewhat of a project to get the Road King out of the garage, when you are going for a ride or putting it away. I park mine in a 2 & 1/2 car garage between the cars. Did you happen to pick up an oil filter while you were at the Harley dealer? I think you will want to change the oil very soon in order to get those metal particles out of your engine (from break-in). Enjoy your new ride and please ride safe.
You have the slim so pan is something different than the rk. 👍🏻I just got a 56 triumph but I also have a 60 bsa a7. Similar bikes. But classics. Sound awesome.
Nice new bike Shawn I love the colour my new CL500 is a Black Edition has some pleasing features including a satin finish with grey lettering as I approach my 70th Birthday I decided to down size I wasn’t using my NT1100 just too heavy so I reckon if your New Harley is lighter just makes sense I hope you have many happy miles riding my CL is Brat styling influences she’s kinda cool 😎
Congrats Shawn, that PA is a beauty. I always enjoyed the RK but with the way you described the GSA situation I can understand. Did you get your bell off of the RK?
If only all of us had a Kelly in our lives....😍. Shawn you are a very lucky man. Nope I didn't see that coming! 🙂 I'm a bit confused.... I thought you wanted to release the capital, and remove the repayments? (I'm sure those guys at the HD dealership are great, but to be honest from your videos their PDI's are not great to be frank.) (Check your videos of your previous bike collections) Enjoy your new bike. PS I'm glad you got to do a proper tour on the RK before you did the part exchange. The last part ex I did was when I traded in my DT175 😲 Never should have sold that bike 🙁
Hello I think you probably take a sleeping bag and sleep beside the bike but you talking about not having to payment when you sold the road king you traded it in. I’m gessig you still going to have months payments enjoy the new bike
Congratulations 🎉
You can never have too many motorcycles in the garage. Your loving wife is the key to your success 🙌
Finally! 😂...I luv your color choice! Your gonna LOVE having that machine!
The only disappointment is that you didn't catch a train on the way home. Nice that it wasn't freezing like with the RE's. New bike day is always special. Enjoy.!! 👍👍👍
Always a bit of seller's remorse when a good bike goes bye bye.
Grats
Congratulations Shawn. I thought you might have gone for an older Harley to do up but the Pan America was a surprise.
Great!! I’ve been watching your videos for years. Excited to see what you do with your PAS. I have the 2024 in Alpine Green. I sold my 17 Ultra Classic and picked up the PanAm.

Congrats Shawn. Nice to have something completly different in the shop. Cool from a vieweers perspective too. Have fun.
Took the words right off my keyboard “I never saw that coming”. Ya broke my boxer twin heart 🥸. LOL 😂
Congrats on the new bike!

You got that right! Thanks so much Cedric!! 👍👊
Aww shucks! Like Gomer Pyle used to say, “surprise…surprise”! Congratulations Smoak’s, she is a beaut.
Congratulations Shawn! Awesome bike and color choice! The laces wheels are a must. I'm thinking of getting one too, along with my RG limited. We only live once! I really feel that, unlike a car, we all have a window to ride. Enjoy your new bike.
Congratulations Shawn! Enjoy your new steed..............................Cheers!
Congratulations on the new Machine Shawn.
Many happy miles to you with it.

Wow that was a total surprise congrats man!
I am a Honda fan boy but this Harley really appeals to me, a cracking new bike and look forward to the fun 👍
Congrats, she’s a beauty! Good stuff Sir!!!🎉🎉🎉
given your love of the bmw gs platform i’m surprised this took so long
Man you were looking at when you picked up Kellies three wheeler
Wow did not see this coming. Well done sir.

Congrats 👏 just lovely. 😎💯👌

Congratulations 👏👏&health to enjoy, looks stunning in that colour. My friend here in Northern Ireland bought one last year he loves it .
Battery tender lead is under the seat… standard fitment on the PAS

😤😤😤😢😢😢Shawn - really !!! My all time favorite videos are the "Barn find" and of late, the "new" Road King
This is like a death in the family
Thats a beaautiful bike.
Road king was sweet but that pan America is bad to the bone 😅😊
You have the slim so pan is something different than the rk. 👍🏻I just got a 56 triumph but I also have a 60 bsa a7. Similar bikes. But classics. Sound awesome.

Lovely bike, I personally prefer it to the latest GS range. Has more character I feel.
I think a good name would be.. Panam!
How does the PA compare to the GSA?
Hey Shaun, congratulations on the new bike. I thought you said that you would never own any bike that was water cooled ? What changed your mind ?
Might be nice on crappy gravel roads on an Alaskan trip
Congrats Shawn, that PA is a beauty. I always enjoyed the RK but with the way you described the GSA situation I can understand. Did you get your bell off of the RK?
Does the management where you work ever question why you buy Harleys when they sell Indian and BMW? The Pan American is a fun bike. Congratulations.

Hello I have a look See what weight difference is the pan America is 268 kg and the iron is 256 kg Only 2 kg. Different
Hello I think you probably take a sleeping bag and sleep beside the bike but you talking about not having to payment when you sold the road king you traded it in. I’m gessig you still going to have months payments enjoy the new bike
Hey Shawn, Forget the Harley Davidsons and get a real bike, a Chinese scooter.
Congratulations
